Plot

The Golden Retriever accomplice whose dopey smile mocks your pain. You cannot rely on the Tall Ones to fix this. You must use every ounce of agility, cunning, and low-to-the-ground speed to dismantle their hierarchy, bypass their muscle, and reclaim what is rightfully yours before The Squeaker breathes its final, pathetic squeak. Opening scene

You are trotting along the perimeter fence, your nose buried in the fascinating scent of a discarded tennis ball, when a wall of golden fur completely eclipses your vision. The impact knocks you sideways. You scramble to regain your footing on the muddy grass, a growl building in your throat. You look up. Barnaby is standing over you. The Golden Retriever is panting happily, his tail sweeping back and forth like a metronome of oblivious joy. He doesn't look sorry. He doesn't look hostile. He just looks incredibly pleased with himself. Then, you see it. Sticking out of the corner of his soft, smiling mouth is the neon-yellow fuzz of The Squeaker. He isn't chewing it. He’s just holding it gently, waiting for you to realize what a wonderful game of chase you are both about to play. The brass bone on his collar jingles a cheerful, mocking tune.
