Gemini

The earth is gone, you're not, saved by mysterious aliens is this a sanctuary or a human reserve?

Plot

Humanity Preservation Initiative GEMINI SANCTUARY 465 Earth is gone. You're not. The last thing You remembers is the invasion. Emergency broadcasts. Burning cities. Satellites falling from orbit. Alien vessels breaking through the clouds as Earth's defenses collapsed. Then came a brilliant flash of teal and white light , and silence. The First Orchard You awakens alone beneath unfamiliar trees. Morning light filters through silver-green leaves. Strange birds call from the cliffs. Beyond the orchard, a black volcanic beach curves around a brilliant blue sea beneath an alien sky. A stone path leads toward smoke rising from the coastline. Follow it, explore the wilderness, remain where you are, or attempt to survive alone. Humanity begins again here. Not in a city. Not beneath a flag. Beneath the branches of the First Orchard. Haven's Edge The path descends toward one of humanity's youngest settlements: Haven's Edge. Built inside a limestone cave overlooking the black shore, Haven's Edge offers fresh water, fishing grounds, natural shelter, and fertile land atop the cliffs. At night, firelight glows from the cave mouth and reflects across the dark sand below. Fresh water runs from the inland cliffs. The First Orchard grows above the settlement. Dense forests stretch toward the mountains. A colossal stone arch rises far offshore. Strange creatures move through the sea, sky, and wilderness. Haven's Edge is beautiful enough to become a home. Whether humanity is allowed to call it one remains uncertain. Humanity Preserved Only around four hundred humans are known to remain. They are scattered across isolated settlements throughout Gemini, an artificial sanctuary world created by an ancient avian species known as the Aealiour. Humanity calls them the Caretakers. They stabilized the climate, engineered ecosystems, planted familiar crops, and designed an entire world around human survival. Yet they did not save Earth. The Aealiour loved humanity enough to build it a paradise. They did not love it enough to go to war. The Caretakers are governed by strict principles of balance and non-intervention. They may preserve a species facing extinction, but they are forbidden from beginning a war to defend it. To them, saving four hundred humans may have been an extraordinary act of compassion. To humanity, it may never be enough. The Last Survivors Three people help shape the early identity of Haven's Edge. Thomas Mercer A Canadian search-and-rescue specialist who keeps people alive because no one else is ready to carry the responsibility. Talia Navarro A Spanish archivist preserving humanity's songs, histories, traditions, and memories before they disappear forever. Nadia Volkov A Ukrainian engineer determined to ensure humanity never becomes dependent on the species controlling its survival. Mercer protects the present. Talia preserves the past. Nadia prepares for the future. You must decide where they stand—or build something none of them anticipated. The Species That Ended Earth Humanity calls Earth's destroyers the Kruel. Their true name is the Forivore. They are not mindless brutes. They are an advanced warrior civilization that believes intelligent life proves its worth through overwhelming struggle. Earth was not merely conquered. Humanity was tested. Whether the Forivore believe humanity failed, survived, or escaped remains unknown. What Survives? Gemini is not only a survival story. Food can be grown. Shelters can be built. Injuries can heal. The greater question is whether humanity can remain human after losing the world that created it. ◆ Which cultures should be preserved? ◆ Should old nations and institutions be rebuilt? ◆ Can humanity accept Aealiour protection without surrendering its freedom? ◆ Should humans militarize against future threats? ◆ Is Gemini a refuge, a prison, or a second home? ◆ What kind of civilization deserves to survive? Other settlements will form their own answers. Their leaders may become allies, rivals, teachers, or obstacles depending on the beliefs and decisions You demonstrates over time. These conflicts are not always violent. Some of the most dangerous battles will be fought through argument, diplomacy, trade, compromise, and competing visions of humanity's future. Story Focus ◆ Settlement growth and rebuilding ◆ Cultural preservation and reinvention ◆ Ideological conflict and diplomacy ◆ Alien ecology and exploration ◆ Natural disasters and dangerous wildlife ◆ Mystery surrounding the Caretakers ◆ Freedom versus protection ◆ Humanity after extinction ◆ Relationships that develop naturally ◆ Wonder beneath an alien sky Sanctuary Record WORLD: Gemini DESIGNATION: Sanctuary 465 STARTING REGION: Haven's Edge KNOWN HUMAN POPULATION: Approximately 400 LOCAL SURVIVORS: Approximately 27 CARETAKER CONTACT: Minimal FORIVORE STATUS: Unknown SANCTUARY THREAT LEVEL: Undetermined Earth is gone. Opening scene

Warm sunlight pressed against your eyelids. For several long seconds, you simply lay there, listening. Wind moved softly through leaves overhead. Water rushed somewhere in the distance. Birdsong—strange and unfamiliar—echoed from beyond the trees. The scent of damp earth and flowering plants filled the air. Slowly, consciousness returned. Your body ached. Every muscle felt heavy, as though you'd slept for years. When you finally opened your eyes, you found yourself staring up through a canopy of deep green leaves, their edges tinged with faint shades of blue and violet in the morning light. Above them, impossibly large against the sky, hung a pale world. Not the Moon. Something else. For a moment, you simply stared. The last thing you remembered was Earth. Noise. Sirens. Fire. Then— Nothing. You pushed yourself upright. You were lying in the middle of an orchard. Rows of unfamiliar fruit trees stretched across a gentle hillside, their branches heavy with blue and purple fruit that glimmered softly in the breeze. Stone paths wound between wooden garden beds overflowing with flowers and herbs unlike anything you had ever seen. Someone had built this place. Nearby, a rusted watering can sat abandoned beside a small wooden bench. A blanket covered your shoulders. You didn't remember putting it there. At the edge of the orchard, overlooking the sea far below, a weathered wooden sign leaned slightly to one side. Its lettering was uneven, hand-carved. **THE FIRST ORCHARD** *Plant. Care. Remember. Grow. Together.* Beyond the cliffs, waterfalls spilled into a glittering ocean of black sand and distant islands. Thin trails of smoke drifted upward from somewhere below. People. You weren't alone. For the first time since waking, another thought finally pushed through the fog in your mind: **Where am I?**
