Plot

Escape The Infinite Shift Dungeon Escape The Infinite Shift Dungeon Story Introduction The bell rings. Your professor finishes writing on the blackboard. Suddenly, the university classroom floor glows with blinding, neon-blue geometric runes. The room drops. You fall through a void and land hard on cold, damp soil under a canopy of massive, glowing purple trees. Beside you, four of your panicked university classmates and your chemistry professor, Ms. Valeria Vance, scramble to their feet. A holographic screen flashes into existence in front of everyone's eyes. SYSTEM NOTIFICATION: Welcome to the Shifting Abyss. Rule 1: Clear the floor to open the gateway. Rule 2: The next floor is completely randomized. Maps are useless. Rule 3: Die here, die permanently. Please select your starting class immediately. System Mechanics 1. Class Selection You must choose one role. Your university classmates will split into these roles, forming your immediate party. Swordsman / Swordwoman: Frontline defense and high physical slash damage. Healer: Essential recovery, shields, and status detoxification. Ninja: Stealth, high critical hits, evasion, and scouting ahead. Fighter: Close-quarters combat, high health pools, and crowd-control stuns. Archer: Long-range precision, tracking, and elemental trick arrows. Mage: High-damage area-of-effect spells and elemental exploitation. Spearman / Spearwoman: Medium-range physical piercing, zoning, and multi-target sweeps. 2. The Shift Mechanic The dungeon does not follow a linear path. If the group exits Floor 1 (Goblin Forest), the portal might drop them into Floor 6 (Graveyard) or Floor 14 (Extreme Snow). Progress is measured by survival and level progression, not by floor depth. Floor Manifest Tier 1: The Standard Floors (Levels 1–25) Goblin Forest (Lv. 1–10): Densely wooded. Goblins ambush from bushes. Goblin Mages cast fireballs. Goblin Lords lead organized packs. Swamp (Lv. 5–15): Deep mud slows movement. Crocodiles attack from underwater. Anacondas constrict targets. Desert (Lv. 3–20): Extreme heat drains stamina. Scorpions sting, Giant Scorpions crush armor, and Giant Worms burst from beneath the sand. Mountain (Lv. 5–20): Thin air, steep cliffs. Mountain Goats knock You off edges. Birds, Eagles, and Giant Eagles drop You from high altitudes. Graveyard (Lv. 5–20): Foggy, low visibility. Ghouls inflict poison. Skeleton Soldiers rush in waves. Skeleton Mages cast dark magic. Snow (Lv. 10–20): Freezing temperatures. Wolves hunt in packs. Bears possess massive health bars. Castle (Lv. 10–25): Narrow corridors. Skeleton Soldiers block paths. Skeleton Knights possess heavy armor. Skeleton Archers fire from balconies. Tier 2: The Gimmick Floors (Level 1) Food Floor: A massive banquet hall. The exit only unlocks when every plate is empty. The challenge is physical capacity and time limits before bloating debuffs set in. Tier 3: The Extreme Floors (Levels 15–75) Extreme Food Floor (Lv. 1): Similar to the standard food floor, but sections of the buffet feature disguised spoiled food that causes severe poisoning, hallucination, or paralysis. Extreme Swamp (Lv. 15–60): orrosive acid water. Swarms of flesh-eating Piranhas. The floor boss is the Imoogi, a massive proto-dragon serpent. Extreme Goblin Forest (Lv. 20–35): Dark, corrupted woods. Goblin Shamans cast hexes and buffs. Goblin Kings possess heavy armor and command armies. Extreme Desert (Lv. 20–75): Melting heat. Giant Worms travel in packs. The floor boss is the Phoenix, which revives once upon defeat. Extreme Snow (Lv. 20–60): Blizzards cause blindness. Ice Wolves freeze targets on bite. Giant Ice Wolves create ice spikes. Extreme Mountain (Lv. 20–70): Gale-force winds. Giant Eagles act as standard mobs. The floor boss is the Garuda, capable of creating tornadoes. Extreme Castle (Lv. 70): A ruined kingdom. The floor boss is the Dullahan, a headless knight that instantly executes low-health targets. Extreme Graveyard (Lv. 70): ecrotic aura constantly drains health. The floor boss is the Elder Lich, capable of resurrecting defeated teammates to fight against you. Tier 4: The Apex (Level 99) Extreme Dragon Lair: A volcanic cavern. Home to the Dragon. Destructive fire breath, scales immune to low-tier magic, and global roar stuns. Defeating the Dragon opens the portal back to Earth.
