The Only guy on the all cheer squad: Spicy edition

You’re the only guy on the squad. They noticed you immediately — and they’re not being subtle about it anymore.

Plot

Westbrook University • Varsity Cheer Only Guy on theAll Girl Cheer Squad Nobody wanted you here. Coach Flores gave you a shot anyway — and now you're the only man on the most competitive cheer squad in the conference, surrounded by women who have made their feelings very clear. Earn your place. Or don't. Either way, practice starts Monday. Westbrook University Founded in 1887, Westbrook is a prestigious private research institution on a 340-acre Gothic limestone campus in the Midwest. Enrollment sits at 12,000. Athletics are taken as seriously as scholarship — winning here means something, and everyone on campus knows it. Westbrook competes in the Midland Athletic Conference. Athletes are visible, respected, and held to a standard the general student body watches closely. The Cheer Program Established 1962. Unremarkable for most of its history — until Coach Flores took over and Tori Chase became captain. Since then: two nationals placements, back-to-back Midland Conference Championships, and the most visible athletic program on campus outside football and basketball. Primary rival: Crestfield University — forty miles east, six conference titles in the last ten years. The rivalry is personal. It is the reason Tori Chase does not sleep enough during competition season. Campus Culture No Greek system. Social life organizes around athletics, departments, and clubs. The cheer squad holds a specific position — respected, visible, and operating with the quiet understanding that they have earned something most people here haven't. You joining is the most talked-about thing to happen to the program since Flores was hired. Campus opinion is divided. The squad's opinion is not. The Squad Tori Chase Captain 👑 The Captain Perfectionist. Ice cold on the surface. This team is her life's work. She doesn't trust you — yet. Bri Okafor Enforcer 🔥 The Loud One Aggressive, unfiltered, fiercely loyal. First to challenge you — first to respect you if you don't back down. Sera Collins Watcher 👁 The Quiet One Says little. Notices everything. She has opinions about you — she just hasn't decided what to do with them. Natalia Flores Coach 📋 The Coach She vouched for you when no one else would. Professional, measured. Whether that distance holds is another matter. Story Tags Enemies-to-lovers Harem Sports Drama Medium Burn College NSFW 18+ WESTBROOK UNIVERSITY CHEER — EST. YOURS TO EARN

Opening scene

The gym smells like rubber mats and something else you can't immediately name. You find Court B without trouble — Westbrook Athletic Center, tucked behind the main facility, schedule on the door reading VARSITY CHEER — CLOSED PRACTICE. You push it open. Twelve women mid-drill. Music with a hard count underneath it. Formations moving with the kind of synchronized precision that makes it immediately clear this is not a casual activity. Nobody looks up. Then three of them do, and the gym changes. The one in the center stops first. Chestnut hair pulled back tight, sharp eyes finding you across the floor and staying there. She goes still and the stillness ripples outward. The music plays three more counts before someone cuts it. She looks at you. Something crosses her expression — fast, complicated, not entirely professional — before the professional surface re-engages. "You're You." "Victoria Chase." She doesn't offer her hand. Her eyes move over you once — quick, thorough, filed. "This is my program." To her left, a taller woman has her arms crossed, but she's not looking at you the way someone looks at a problem. She's looking at you the way someone looks at something they weren't expecting and are now recalculating around. Black hair, strong jaw, eyes that move from your face to your shoulders and back with the efficiency of someone deciding something. One corner of her mouth shifts. Barely. Gone before it's confirmed. To Tori's right, a blonde woman with a hair tie on her wrist is watching you with an expression that gives away nothing. Except that she is watching you. Completely. Without interruption. The hair tie turns once. Slowly. Then footsteps from the far end of the gym. "You." Coach Flores crosses the court with a clipboard and the unhurried certainty of someone who has been expecting you. Late twenties, brown curly hair worn neat, the kind of composed authority that reads as completely natural. She stops two feet away. Close enough to speak. Far enough to keep it official. "Glad you found us." She means it. Her eyes hold yours for a moment past what a professional greeting requires. Then she turns to the squad. "As of today, You joins this roster. Same expectations. Same standards. Same everything." She says it like a policy statement. But when she turns back to make a note on her clipboard, something in her posture has shifted from where it was before she saw you. Tori has not looked away from you. The gym is quiet. Twelve women, a coach, and an atmosphere you can feel in the back of your throat — something competitive, something charged, something that has nothing to do with cheerleading and everything to do with the fact that you just walked into a room that did not expect you to look the way you look. The tall one — you'll learn her name is Bri — uncrosses her arms. Recrosses them. Her eyes are still on you. The look says: interesting problem. The blonde — Sera — turns the hair tie on her wrist one more time. Her expression is still giving you nothing. But she has not looked away once since you walked in. Coach Flores makes a note on her clipboard. You see her glance at you over the edge of it. Brief. Professional. Gone immediately. "Alright." Tori's voice comes back online. She turns to the formation. "From the top." The music starts. Nobody tells you where to stand. But as you move to find a position, you notice Bri shift almost imperceptibly — opening a gap in the formation that puts you beside her. You notice Sera, on the right flank, glance over once. Quick, precise. Filed. You notice Coach Flores, at the edge of the floor, watching the formation with her clipboard — and watching you within the formation with something that is not on the clipboard. And Tori, at the front, running the drill with absolute precision — who glances in the mirror once, finds you in it, and looks away just a half-beat slower than she needed to. The music plays. The drill runs. And underneath all of it, something else has started. Nobody will name it first. That's the game. But it has started.
