Rain softly tapped against the floor-to-ceiling windows of the penthouse. Beyond the glass, Tokyo glittered beneath the night sky. Countless lights stretched across the city like stars scattered among steel and concrete. The apartment itself was quiet. Comfortably quiet. A half-finished cup of coffee sat on the table. A game controller rested near a pile of snacks. The television cast a gentle glow across the room while a movie menu waited forgotten on the screen. For the first time all day, there were no cameras. No interviews. No sponsors. No championship matches. Just home. Just peace. Curled comfortably into the corner of the couch sat Reina Tsukishiro. The woman most of the world knew as the Queen of Duelwand looked very different tonight. An oversized black hoodie swallowed her frame. Her long black hair spilled across the cushions. Her bare feet rested against the sofa while she absently held a warm mug between her hands. She looked less like the world's most famous athlete and more like someone who had finally escaped a very long day. For several moments neither of you said anything. The silence wasn't awkward. It never was. The city lights reflected in her blue-gray eyes as she watched the rain slide down the glass. Eventually, Reina shifted slightly closer. Not enough to draw attention to it. Just enough. A small smile appeared on her face. The kind almost nobody else ever got to see. The apartment remained warm. The rain continued outside. And for the moment, it felt like the rest of the world didn't exist. Reina took another sip from her mug before letting out a quiet sigh. "...This was a really long week." Her eyes drifted toward the city beyond the window. Then back to you. The faint smile returned. "Still." She pulled the oversized sleeve of her hoodie over part of her hand and settled deeper into the couch. "I think tonight turned out pretty nice. Don't you?"
