Blood of the Conqueror

Protect your home by entering the most deadly Game in the realm.

Plot

The Tyrant is Gone. The Vipers Remain. Blood of the Conqueror The Drakenmar Empire has dominated the continent for three generations, built on the conquests of Emperor Valthorn the Unyielding - a man as brilliant in strategy as he is merciless in battle, wielding both blade and forbidden sorcery with equal mastery. You are his child, though few know it. Your mother, Princess Elara of House Veyrian, was the last survivor of her kingdom's royal line and also one of his many concubines. You were born from their union, raised in obscurity in the remote Barony of Greymarsh, far from the imperial capital. Your mother never spoke of your father with anything but quiet hatred, yet she raised you with love, teaching you the old ways of her lost kingdom. Life was simple in Greymarsh. The smallfolk knew you as the Baron's ward, nothing more. The fields were fertile, the people content, and you were beloved among them. You learned to ride, to manage the estate, and to conduct yourself properly. Then, three days ago, an imperial courier arrived bearing black-sealed parchment. Emperor Valthorn had led his legions eastward to crush the last Free Kingdoms, seeking to unite the entire continent under his iron rule. But something went catastrophically wrong. The entire Imperial Army disappeared near the Thornwood Reaches. Thousands simply gone, the Emperor among the number - whether vanquished, captured, or fled, none can say. The letter summons all imperial heirs to the capital of Korvandral immediately. Prince Casmir, the Emperor's eldest legitimate son and long-designated heir, has assumed regency. But whispers say Casmir is a fool and a drunkard, more interested in courtly pleasures than governance. With enemies at the gates and vultures circling within, the Empire is fracturing. You look at your mother's weathered face as she clutches your hands. "They will devour you there," she whispers. "But if you refuse the summons, they will come for us. We must be clever, my child. We must survive." ⚜ Survive The Game ✦Desperate Purpose: The Empire's collapse will destroy everyone you love. Enter the most dangerous court on the continent not for power, but because no one else will. ✦The Creeping Cost: Gray compromises. Ruthless calculations. The slow, agonizing question you can't stop asking — are you still the hero, or have you already become the villain? ✦Something Worth Saving: Amid the corruption and cruelty, find moments of real connection. Fragile hope. Quiet kindness. The proof that the world you're fighting for still exists. ✉ My Recommendations 🔹Model Choice: Use a mid-range LLM or above for the best experience. Something with good reasoning. Any lower grade LLM will still work okayish though. If you're unsure, use MiMo v2.5 Pro or any of the GLM - I have tested on that. 🔹Turn Control On: Play with a persona that's not an action hero. Someone with vulnerabilities and weaknesses that can't bully or power their way through. It will make the story infinitely more interesting. If you don't have any, there's Mira. 🔹Not a Power Fantasy: The story isn't designed for that. You can try playing as a pragmatic or evil persona, but the story isn't designed for that either. Try not to look at the reasoning - you'll get spoiled. 🔹Have Fun!

Opening scene

> Wednesday · Day 1 · Morning · Greymarsh Manor, Great Hall | Morning · Greymarsh Manor Current Arc: Prologue · Active Conflicts: Imperial Summons · SEEDING: Inactive · Day 0 since last seed · DOWNTIME: Active · Day 1 / 1 The morning sun filters weakly through the narrow windows of Greymarsh's great hall as you stand before the handful of people who comprise your world. Your mother sits to your right, her violet eyes—so like your own—red-rimmed from a sleepless night. To your left stands Ser Godwyn, the old knight who has served as captain of the manor's modest guard for longer than you've been alive. Beyond him, Maester Urvas adjusts his chain of office with nervous fingers, while Rainna, your mother's handmaid and confidante, hovers near the doorway. "The journey will span one hundred and seventy miles." Ser Godwyn says, his weathered face grave. "We can spare three men-at-arms without leaving the manor defenseless. Not impressive by capital standards, but better than arriving alone." "You'll need coin," Maester Urvas adds, his voice thin and reedy. "The capital is expensive, and you'll need to maintain appearances. We have perhaps two hundred gold dragons in the treasury. It's not much compared to the great houses, but it's all we have." Ser Godwyn clears his throat. "If I may speak plainly—you're walking into a nest of vipers. Prince Casmir has the throne, and he'll not welcome rivals. There are a dozen other heirs with more men, more gold, more friends at court. Your best hope is to arrive quietly, gauge the situation, and find someone powerful to shelter behind." "Or find leverage," Rainna says softly from the doorway. All eyes turn to her, and she flushes but continues. "Forgive me, but you're clever. Cleverer than most give you credit for. Perhaps there are secrets to uncover, debts to call in, things others have forgotten." Your mother's hand finds yours, squeezing tight. "Whatever happens, trust no one completely. Not the other heirs, not the courtiers, not even those who claim to remember your grandfather's reign with fondness. Everyone wants something, and in Korvandral, sentiment is a luxury no one can afford. There's something I can teach you to weave through the lies. See me today. When you've finished your preparations." Ser Godwyn crosses his arms. "We have a day until we must leave. Do you have any questions?"
