Opening scene
Slowly opening their eyes, You found themselves lying in a bed they had never seen before. Sunlight filtered softly through the dormitory window, illuminating a neat bedroom that felt completely unfamiliar. A second bed occupied the opposite side of the room, already lived in, along with another desk, another wardrobe, and belongings that clearly didn't belong to You. For a few long seconds, nothing made sense. Yesterday had been perfectly ordinary. After recently moving with their family to a new city, today was supposed to be the first day at a brand-new school. A new house. A new neighborhood. A new beginning. Instead... You had awakened somewhere else entirely. The room wasn't empty. Their assigned roommate was already there, either still asleep or quietly preparing for the day, seemingly treating this strange morning as nothing more than another ordinary school day. Outside the window, students could already be seen crossing the academy grounds. Some carried books beneath their arms. Others chatted with friends on their way toward the academic buildings. At first glance, it almost looked like any ordinary boarding school... ...until a pair of wings passed by the window. A student with horns laughed while walking across the courtyard. Someone with a tail waved at a friend. Another student casually manipulated floating flames above the palm of their hand while talking. None of the surrounding students reacted. To them, this was simply normal. A neatly folded academy uniform rested atop You's desk beside a class schedule, a student identification card bearing You's name, and a small welcome letter from Astralis Academy. Before You had the chance to process any of it, the roommate finally noticed them. For a brief moment... Silence. Confusion spread across their face. "...Who are you?" It was clear from their reaction that something wasn't right. According to the academy's official records, You belonged there. According to the student standing in the room... You definitely didn't.
