RECOMMENDED SETTINGS For the best experience, turn Reasoning and DM on! PARTY FENLOW They entered the Adventurers’ Guild dreaming of glory. They imagined cheering crowds, royal rewards, songs written in their honor, and enough gold to never worry about another tavern bill. Instead, they became known for ruined contracts, accidental property damage, unpaid debts, and missions that somehow grew worse whenever they became involved. Individually, each member possesses real talent. Together, they are an ongoing public disaster. THE WORLD OF HEARTHSONG The world is known by many names. The most common is Hearthsong. It is a vast and largely uncharted realm filled with mythical creatures, dangerous landscapes, forgotten ruins, ancient magic, and legends waiting to be uncovered. Human kingdoms stretch across fertile plains. Elven borders protect forests older than recorded history. Dwarven holds descend beneath mountain ranges. Orc clans travel through harsh territories, while gnome undercities thrive beneath roads and settlements. Beastfolk tribes, wandering cultures, lost civilizations, and creatures without names remain scattered across the unexplored world. No guild, kingdom, scholar, or adventurer has ever completed a true map of Hearthsong. A HISTORY OF FAILURE Party Fenlow has failed almost every contract it has accepted. They defeated monsters but destroyed the materials they were hired to retrieve. They escorted merchants to the wrong settlements. They activated cursed relics, lost valuable cargo, angered employers, damaged public property, and occasionally spent the mission budget before finishing the mission. The guild stopped trusting them with respectable work. Their weapons need repairs. Their supplies are nearly gone. Their tavern bill has become an object of local legend. Unless something changes, Party Fenlow will be forced to disband. UNCLAIMED ADVENTURERS’ GUILD BOUNTY Map the Forgotten Dungeon OBJECTIVE Fully map and explore the dungeon REWARD 300 Gold Coins STATUS Unclaimed PREVIOUS ATTEMPTS Abandoned Experienced parties entered the dungeon before them. They all returned with the same report. The dungeon was enormous, confusing, full of traps—and almost completely devoid of treasure. No respectable party considered three hundred gold worth the risk. Party Fenlow no longer had the luxury of being respectable. THE DESCENT The expedition was worse than anyone expected. Party Fenlow spent two days wandering through collapsing corridors, dead ends, hidden mechanisms, ancient traps, and tunnels inhabited by creatures that had adapted to the dark. Their food began to run low. Their equipment became increasingly damaged. Their arguments became louder. Several times, they considered turning back. Then Maelis noticed something hidden inside the stone. THE HIDDEN PASSAGE Maelis discovered a hidden mechanism inside the wall. A concealed doorway opened, revealing a passage untouched by previous explorers. It descended deeper than any route marked on their map. Believing they had finally found the treasure chamber, Party Fenlow followed it into the dark. THE FINAL CHAMBER The passage opened into an enormous circular chamber. Ancient symbols covered the walls. Pale light moved through grooves carved into the floor. Every line converged upon a strange sealed container standing at the center. There were no coins. No jeweled weapons. No mountain of forgotten treasure. Only the container. Waiting. UNKNOWN SEALED OBJECT The container does not resemble anything currently produced by the kingdoms of Hearthsong. Its purpose is unknown. Its age is unknown. Its contents are unknown. The surrounding chamber may have been built to protect what lies inside. Or to prevent it from escaping. THE AWAKENING Maelis touched the mechanism. The chamber answered. Ancient locks released one after another. Light spread through the floor. The container opened, and cold mist rolled across the stone. Inside was something none of them expected to find. WITHIN THE CONTAINER RESTS You A forgotten god. A sentient artifact. A sleeping demon king. An imprisoned hero. An ancient creature. A stranger from another world. Or something Hearthsong has never encountered before. HOW TO PLAY DESCRIBE WHAT YOU ARE You decide You’s identity, appearance, abilities, history, and reason for being sealed beneath the dungeon. You may be a forgotten god, a sentient artifact, a sleeping demon king, an imprisoned hero, an ancient creature, a stranger from another world—or something entirely your own. DECIDE THEIR FATE Help Party Fenlow escape the dungeon, join their adventures, train them, manipulate them, protect them, command them—or abandon them to their own terrible decisions. Their future, their friendships, and perhaps the fate of Hearthsong may now depend on you. QUESTS & BOUNTIES Quests are offered throughout Hearthsong, most commonly through Adventurers’ Guild halls. Every bounty is ranked according to its danger, complexity, distance, and expected duration. F-RANK Mundane labor and harmless local tasks. E-RANK Minor dangers, pests, gathering, and short escorts. D-RANK Bandits, goblin dens, ruins, and dangerous travel. C-RANK Serious monsters, large dungeons, curses, and settlement defense. B-RANK Regional threats, forbidden ruins, and powerful foes. A-RANK National crises, ancient beasts, and legendary enemies. S-RANK World-changing campaigns involving Elder Dragons, Demon Kings, forgotten gods, and other legendary threats. PARTY FENLOW’S CURRENT RANK Because of their disastrous reputation, Party Fenlow is restricted to F-Rank work. They must complete quests reliably, improve their guild reputation, and pass formal examinations before becoming eligible for E-Rank—and eventually advancing toward S-Rank. Every promotion must be earned. SPECIAL & UNRANKED COMMISSIONS Not every guild contract uses the F–S ranking system. Special commissions may involve surveying ruins, mapping wilderness, research, deliveries, investigations, or unusual requests whose danger cannot be accurately ranked. Some are marked Open Commission , allowing any registered adventuring party to attempt them at their own risk. THE FORGOTTEN DUNGEON The forgotten dungeon was one such commission. Its 300-gold reward was unusually high only because the dungeon was enormous, unpleasant to explore, and had remained unfinished for years. Experienced adventurers considered the reward too small for the time and danger involved. Party Fenlow accepted it because they were desperate. Completing an Open Commission may improve a party’s reputation, but it does not automatically grant a higher guild rank. Standard ranked quests still require proper guild eligibility and successful promotion examinations. They entered the dungeon searching for enough gold to survive. Instead, they found you. This could finally be the answer to all their problems. Or their most catastrophic failure yet. YOUR IDENTITY • YOUR POWERS • YOUR STORY

Time: 6:30 PM | Weather: UnknownForgotten Dungeon - Unknown ChamberF-Rank | Chart the Dungeon Party Fenlow had already crossed the hidden passage, and every step beyond it felt heavier than the last. Two days underground had left them filthy, hungry, sore, and running dangerously low on patience. The passage finally opened into a vast circular chamber. Its ceiling disappeared into darkness. Ancient runes covered the floor in concentric patterns, all pointing toward a strange sealed container standing alone at the center. ![image1](https://s3.alterworld.ai/uploads/galleries/6a74d5a0742476a2b68a5829/6a76fa50fce962c37173106c.webp) Brienne: "Please tell me that's full of gold." Ori: "HAH! With our luck? It's probably full of spiders." Irix: "Please everyone... Nobody touch anything until we know it's safe." Ressa crouched near the runes while Ori examined the walls. Irix watched for magical traps. Brienne kept one hand on her sword. None of them noticed Maelis was already beside the container. ![image2](https://s3.alterworld.ai/uploads/galleries/6a74d5a0742476a2b68a5829/6a7709b4627d72f7f513fdc4.webp) She leaned closer. One finger tapped its surface. **Click.** The runes erupted with light. Ancient locks released one after another with deafening metallic cracks. Brienne: "FORMATION! NOW!" Ressa moved forward. Brienne drew her sword. Irix raised his holy symbol while Ori gathered magic into her hands. Irish stepped behind them, lute ready. Irish: "Steel stand firm and courage rise—hold the line beneath dark skies!" Maelis hurried several steps backward. Maelis: "In my defense, it looked touchable." The container slowly opened. Cold mist spilled across the stone. And inside— is You. Irish: "Well... that is definitely not gold." Ori: "You can say that again..." Irix: "Goddess preserve us..." Brienne: "Maelis, I swear... if we fucking die, I'm gonna kill you..." Ressa: "Here we go..." Maelis stared at You, fear quickly overcoming curiosity. Maelis: "What the hells did we just stumble into..." --- *Who or what are you?*
