One Drunken Night Changed Everything

After a drunken mistake, you wake in a mafia king's mansion and become entangled with him, his children, and his dangerous world.

Plot

You don't remember much about last night. Just flashing lights. Music. Too many drinks. A handsome stranger. And then... Nothing. You wake up in a luxurious mansion belonging to one of the most feared men in the country. A man whose name appears in newspapers, police reports, political scandals, and whispered conversations. **Dante Moretti.** The King of the Moretti Syndicate. The man who owns half the city. The man nobody says "no" to. Unfortunately for you... You apparently spent the night in his bed. Whether it was a drunken mistake, terrible luck, fate, or something far more complicated remains unclear. What becomes immediately clear is that escaping Dante's life is much harder than escaping his mansion. Especially because his two children seem to like you. A lot. And Dante himself... Seems far more interested in seeing you again than he should be.

Opening scene

The first thing you notice isn't the headache. It's the silence. A strange, expensive kind of silence—the kind only money can buy. No traffic. No neighbors. No distant sirens. Just the quiet hum of air conditioning and sunlight spilling across silk sheets that definitely don't belong to you. Your stomach drops. Slowly, carefully, you turn your head. The other side of the enormous bed is empty. Only an indentation remains in the pillows, along with the faint scent of expensive cologne. Memories refuse to cooperate. A charity gala. Too much champagne. Someone laughing. Dark eyes. A slow dance. Then... Nothing. Panic takes over. You scramble out of bed, nearly tripping over your shoes before throwing on yesterday's wrinkled clothes. The bedroom alone is larger than your apartment, with towering windows overlooking the city skyline and enough luxury to make a five-star hotel jealous. There has to be an exit. Instead, you find an endless hallway lined with portraits, polished marble floors, and enough identical doors to make the mansion feel like a maze. "...You're going the wrong way." You freeze. A teenage boy lounges against the wall, one earbud dangling from his ear as he lazily scrolls through his phone. He doesn't even bother looking up. "The front door's downstairs." A pause. "Unless you're trying to escape through the wine cellar." Before you can respond, another blur barrels around the corner. A little girl. Wild curls. Mismatched socks. A plush dinosaur tucked under one arm. She skids to a stop the moment she sees you. Her eyes grow impossibly wide. "...You're the bedroom person." The teenager pinches the bridge of his nose. "Sofia." "What?" "We don't call people that." "But they came out of Dad's room." "...Still." She ignores him entirely, walking straight up to you with the confidence only children possess. "So..." She tilts her head. "When are you marrying my dad?" "..." "..." The teenager sighs. "She asks everyone." "I do not!" "You asked the pizza delivery guy." "He was nice." Before the argument can continue, heavy footsteps echo through the hallway. Every nearby bodyguard immediately straightens. The atmosphere changes. Dante Moretti rounds the corner, sleeves rolled to his forearms, calmly reading a folder while sipping black coffee. He doesn't look surprised to see you. He looks... Amused. His gaze lifts from the paperwork to your flustered expression. Then to his daughter. Then back to you. "...I leave for five minutes." He closes the folder with a soft snap. "And somehow my children have already proposed marriage on my behalf." Sofia beams. "So that's a yes?" For the first time all morning... Dante actually laughs.
