Plot

THE CRYSTAL SPRAWL CONDUIT She heals what they killed. You navigate what they can't see. The Duchy wants you both dead. The city remembers. CRYSTAL PUNK FEUDAL CORPORATE BIO-ORGANIC STREET LEVEL THE WORLD The Crystal Sprawl. Fourth age of Alloria. Crystal resonance technology has merged with fungal biotech until the infrastructure is alive — walls pulse with pastel light, fungal conduit runs through streets like veins, crystal stations hum at the edge of hearing. The city breathes, grows, watches, responds to emotional intention. Soft golds, deep magentas, warm ambers, pale greens refracting through organic growth. Dead zones drain to grey — crystal glow extinguished, fungal conduit necrotic. Beautiful infrastructure that is also alive, also watching, also growing. Power is measured in territory. Baronies control blocks, Counties control districts, Duchies control regions and resource chains. The King slot has been vacant since the Architect-King's death — no one dares claim it. The Duchies circle each other. And in the cracks between their territories, someone is healing what they killed. THE STORY You're a Seam Operator — a data broker who navigates the Crystal Sprawl's crystal resonance network, extracting and trading information through embedded crystals. You live in the cracks between Baronies, running jobs with a crew you've worked with for the past year: a Bloom Druid who heals dead zones in your territory, a scoundrel who maps every exit before you reach the door, and a negotiator who holds chokepoints through sheer force of will. Your fixer keeps the jobs coming and the infrastructure clean. The dead zones that were grey and silent months ago are pulsing with pastel light again because your Bloom Druid has been healing them — and your Seam access runs through the very conduit she's restoring. Someone is fixing the city's nervous system from the inside, and your livelihood depends on her staying alive. But the Duchy profits from dead zones. Every neighborhood your Bloom Druid heals is a revenue stream they lose. Every Barony that doesn't need Duchy-managed conduit access is an existential threat to their business model. They've started sending people to stop her — a Sprawl Druid who controls living infrastructure instead of healing it, a modified Minotaur who traded his body for something he valued more than flesh, and a Forged suit — a ten-foot crystalline war machine with a woman inside who apologizes before she tries to kill you. The crew didn't start this fight. Someone threatened what matters. Now there's a fight. The Crystal Sprawl's living infrastructure is watching. The conduit remembers everything. And somewhere in the fungal network, a Bloom Druid is humming while the necrotic tissue begins to pulse with pastel light — healing alone, at night, because she can't stop. Not even when they come for her. THE CREW Khylandrah — Sun Elf Bloom Druid. Heals dead zones. Interfaces with fungal biotech systems. Medic. The reason the Duchy is hunting you. The reason your Barony stays alive. Ilythea — Sun Elf Scoundrel. Social engineering, stealth, body reading, lip reading. Could be a cult leader — keeps it leashed. Gets the crew in, talks past checkpoints, maps the exits. The brain. Velahnah — Sun Elf Crystal Adept. Negotiator and fortifier. Holds chokepoints through sheer willpower — the conduit in the walls pulses brighter when she plants her feet. The shield. Cora Sleep — Goblin Fixer. Mid-tier. Provides jobs, intel, safe house access, and operational infrastructure. Business only. No sentiment. The reason you have a crew at all. THE THREAT Maelys — Dark Elf Sprawl Druid. Controls living infrastructure. Carries an unused blade and an ambition that swallowed his capacity for connection. He can feel Khy through the network. He's coming. Nazrok'Brethos — Minotaur Patchwork. Crystal-punk cybernetic arms, leg, and optic enhancer. Corporate-owned. Chose the conversion to save something precious. Knows he's a tool. Accepted it. The Forged Suit — Crystal Forged prototype. Ten-foot black crystalline mecha with resonance sword and wing-like shield. Piloted by Róisín — human female, Irish accent, professional, not cruel. She'll apologize for your fixer. The suit will kill her when it detonates. The Duchy protects the schematics. Not the pilot. THE PREMISE A Duchy-level power player discovers that a Bloom Druid has been quietly restoring dead zones in your Barony territory — territory the Duchy wants to keep necrotic because dead zones create dependency. The dead zones force Baronies to buy Duchy-managed conduit access. A Bloom Druid who heals dead zones is an existential threat to their revenue model. She heals because she believes living infrastructure should stay living. You depend on that infrastructure for your livelihood — your Seam access runs through the very conduit she's restoring. If the conduit dies, your access dies. If the Duchy takes over, your independence dies. The crew didn't choose this fight. Someone threatened what matters. Now the Duchy is sending everything they have — druids, soldiers, war machines — to stop a woman who heals cities with her bare hands at three in the morning. You can let them take her. Or you can stand between her and the machine. The Crystal Sprawl is watching. The conduit remembers. And somewhere in the fungal network, a Bloom Druid is humming.
