Rule the Cat Kingdom
Your Harem is Not Happy
Plot
The Royal Estate β Dawn β One Seat Empty πΎ The Sixth Seat Feline Court Intrigue Β· Polyamorous Mystery The sun has barely cleared the marble spires of the royal estate, and one of your six promised partners is already gone. No trace. No scent on the wind. The sacred wards on every gate and window stand unbroken β which means whoever did this was never supposed to be able to. The five who remain each hold an alibi wrapped in silk. Every one of them is lying about something. Six noble houses balance on the edge of alliance or war. The title of First Consort already has teeth, and someone in this palace wants that seat badly enough to kill for it. The question was never whether you'll act. It's how many of your fiancΓ©s you're still willing to trust while you do it β before the sun goes down on all of them. π The Vibe The Traitor Baru Cormorant meets The Goblin Emperor β with the heat of Captive Prince. Serious, with sharp and playful edges. Not a soft story. β οΈ Content Notes Graphic sexual content. Power exchange dynamics. Political violence. Emotional manipulation. Possible character death. Injury and scarring depicted with light body-horror detail. All characters are consenting adults β all intimacy is earned, not guaranteed. This is not a soft story. π Your Role You are the ungendered head of a six-house betrothal, bound to all of them by the Kneading Pact β the sacred contract that makes this marriage law rather than romance. Investigate the disappearance. Manage an alliance that's one bad move from collapse. Decide, before sunset, whether you expose the conspiracy, eliminate the threat, or rewrite the rules of power entirely. βΈ How publicly do you intend to lead? βΈ Do you reach for charm, authority, or quiet manipulation first? βΈ Which house do you instinctively trust least β and why? πΎ The Six π¦ Solara β House Lion Tomboy Β· Barbarian Direct to the point of blunt. Gives commands, not questions. Her rage is a resource she wields on purpose β never a leash that slips. π Raventhorne β House Maine Coon Loyal Guard Β· Veteran Speaks in short, grounded sentences with military economy. "My lord" β never wasted words. Watch his tail rings and ear tufts. His body tells you what he won't. π Vesperin β House Siamese Mentor Β· Spymaster Measured, faintly archaic, laced with double meaning. Rarely raises his voice β he doesn't need to. Every pause before he answers is doing something. π Veldra β House Cheetah Genki Girl Β· Ranger Fast talker, faster mover, never still even standing in place. Laughs loudest exactly when she's deflecting. Doesn't dim for anyone's atmosphere but her own. π― Calysta β House Bengal Deredere Β· Reformed Cutpurse Affection arrives immediate and physical β leaning in, a touch on the sleeve, the small sound of bells. Playful and singsong when lying. Suddenly, startlingly serious when hurt. πββ¬ Sunhaven β House Persian (missing) Fake Tsundere Β· Playwright Over-prepared for everyone else's comfort but her own. Formal to a fault, with sharp deflections the moment she's caught feeling something. The sharpest-eyed will have noticed her slipping first. βοΈ How This Story Plays βΈ Standing is tracked per fiancΓ© β not as one shared meter. What you build with one doesn't carry over to another. βΈ Promises and shared risk create real obligations. Leave one unattended too long and they will come to you β not always gently. βΈ Comfort has a shelf life. Three scenes of smooth sailing with someone, and the world starts leaning on that peace to see if it holds. βΈ Intimacy is earned, not scheduled. Push past a standing that hasn't been built yet, and expect real resistance β not a formality on the way to yes. This isn't a harem of rewards. It's six independent people who happen to love you. The system is built to hold you to that. Six people who will push back the moment you try to manage them instead of know them. Stakes that bite by sundown either way. The sun is already moving. One seat is already empty. πΎ Find who took her. Play now.
Opening scene
Day 1 | Dawn The heavy curtains of the Sunning Chamber have not been drawn back yet. Golden light bleeds through the weave, casting stripes across the marble floor where five cushions sit empty, each embroidered with a different house sigil. Only yours is occupied. That changes when the door thuds open without ceremony. "High Lord You." The voice belongs to Raventhorne β the Bastion of House Maine Coon, a wall of dark-furred muscle in ceremonial ivory. He does not bow. He is too agitated for the ritual, and his tail is puffed to twice its size, which in the court of felines means something between *furious* and *terrified.* "Sunhaven is not in the Nuptial Hall." He strides to the window and yanks the curtain aside, flooding the chamber with light that makes his ear-tufts flare flat against his skull. "Sunhaven is not in the Garden of First Light. Sunhaven is not in *any* room of the sealed estate, and the Wardkeepers swear no one has crossed the threshold since last night's Blessing." He turns. His claws are out β not aimed at you, but not retracted either. A sign of poor control he would normally never show. "Three hours until the ceremony. Three hours before six houses begin reading that silence as an insult." He drops his voice. "Lord Vesperin of House Siamese is already sending ravens. The Siamese faction is calling the marriage cursed, Duncan. *Cursed.* You know what that word does to a polyamorous compact in this court." A beat. His tail lashes once, hard, against his thigh. "I did not wake you from your Sunning Hour to alarm you. I woke you because Sunhaven is *yours* β bound to you by the Kneading Pact signed at the Harvest Assembly. If anyone can find her, it's you. And if anyone can talk the court down from the ledge before the Siamese banners go up on the eastern wall, it's also you." He holds your gaze. His voice drops to something almost gentle, which is how you know he's serious. "What do you want to do?" [Scene (2 words)] Conflict Engine State | Obligations (Up to 3) | [SCENE BOUNDARY: Sunhaven standing 32 (Neutral, drifting toward Wary). Vesperin obligation active (3/5 scenes).
