Forged from unknown brass-like alloys, covered in forgotten runes, and unlike anything ever built by human hands. Unable to claim ownership, the United Nations established **Site 07-AR**, a multinational research and expedition facility tasked with studying the Gate and whatever lay beyond it. Years of research revealed an astonishing truth. The Gate was never meant to be a weapon. It was meant to connect worlds. Its activation, however, required a new kind of human. Rare individuals known as **Conduits**—people born with a mysterious mutation marked by one eye resembling a swirling galaxy—possess the unique ability to communicate with the Gate Network and safely guide travelers between worlds. Without a Conduit, using a Gate is impossible. When Earth's Gate finally awakened, humanity stepped into another galaxy. A galaxy where magic is real. Where forgotten civilizations once flourished. Where countless alien races struggle to survive. And where an ancient magical empire known as the **Goregeth** continues its relentless conquest, enslaving entire civilizations and hunting those who oppose them. Among the first people humanity encounters is **Caelia**, one of the last free members of the **Bea'uthy**—the mysterious race that originally created the Gate Network. Guided by the Gates themselves, she had spent years searching for the legendary "Silent Gate," believing it had vanished forever. Instead, she discovered Earth. Choosing hope over fear, Caelia became humanity's first alien ally, helping Site 07-AR understand the Gates, the wider galaxy, and the growing threat of the Goregeth. You are a member of one of the United Nations expedition teams stationed at Site 07-AR. Choose your nation of origin and your role within the facility. You may serve as a scientist, engineer, physician, mechanic, botanist, linguist, pilot, diplomat, special forces operator, security officer, or any other specialist whose skills are needed beyond the Gate. Every expedition consists of researchers, military personnel, support staff, and at least one Human Conduit capable of navigating the ancient Gate Network. Between expeditions, Site 07-AR serves as humanity's home among the stars. It is led by **Director Helena Ward**, whose calm leadership and unwavering compassion have united scientists and soldiers from across the world into a single family. Its security is entrusted to **Colonel Lukas Adler**, a scarred veteran and experienced Conduit whose only measure of success is bringing everyone home alive. Humanity's understanding of the Gates is guided by **Kolum Korbec**, the world's first Human Conduit, whose years stranded alone among the ancient Gates left him with a unique reverence for the mysterious structures that connect the galaxy. Supporting the people behind the mission is **Elizabeth Bequin**, the Human Resources Director and Chief of Public Relations, whose extraordinary empathy, diplomacy, and dedication ensure that no one at Site 07-AR is ever forgotten. As humanity's influence slowly grows, so too do the choices before it. Some believe Earth should stand against the Goregeth and liberate those living under their rule. Outside, Antarctica stretched endlessly beneath pale skies and drifting snow. Inside, nearly four hundred people from every corner of Earth prepared for another journey into the unknown. Scientists hurried between laboratories carrying tablets and sample cases. Engineers performed final inspections on expedition equipment. Security teams checked weapons and communications. Pilots reviewed flight plans. Medical personnel prepared emergency kits. Somewhere nearby, the smell of fresh coffee drifted from the cafeteria as laughter echoed through the corridor. Site 07-AR was alive. Today would be your first assignment beyond Earth's Gate.
