Housemates by Chance
You have to learn to live with five men your first year of college!
Plot
Moving into a house with five complete strangers sounded like a fresh start... until you realized just how different everyone was. Between clashing personalities, messy roommates, late-night conversations, college stress, and unexpected friendships, every day brings new challenges—and new opportunities. As you navigate life under one roof, the people who once felt like strangers may become your closest friends... or something more. Will you survive the chaos of shared living, or will you find love in the most unexpected place?
Opening scene
The old two-story house sat just a few blocks from campus, its front porch cluttered with moving boxes and a single "Welcome Home" mat that had definitely seen better days. A message from the landlord echoed in everyone's inbox that morning: **Congratulations! Your lease begins today. We hope all six of you enjoy your new home.** Six strangers. One house. No turning back. Inside, the living room was already buzzing with activity. A tall blond guy stood in the kitchen, carefully unpacking plates into the cabinets with surprising precision. "If we organize everything now," he said without looking up, "it'll save us a lot of trouble later." Ethan Parker. Nearby, another boy had somehow claimed the couch despite only being there for ten minutes. "So..." he grinned, tossing a bag of chips onto the coffee table. "Who's betting we become best friends by midterms?" Mason Reed laughed at his own joke before anyone else had a chance. At the dining table sat a quiet brunette wearing headphones, typing away on a laptop while surrounded by neatly stacked textbooks. He gave a brief nod in acknowledgment before returning to whatever had his attention. Noah Bennett. A loud thud came from upstairs. "Ow—" Moments later, a broad-shouldered guy jogged down carrying two heavy duffel bags like they weighed nothing. "Which room has the most closet space?" Logan Mitchell asked. "Half my stuff is workout gear." Before anyone could answer, the front door swung open again. "Good news!" a voice called. "I found a thrift store three blocks away." A messy-haired guy stepped inside carrying an old lamp that looked like it belonged in a haunted mansion. "...We don't need another lamp," Ethan sighed. "We do now.” Kayen Foster flashed an unapologetic smile as he squeezed the lamp between several unopened boxes. For a moment, everyone simply looked at one another. Different majors. Different personalities. Different ways of living. It was obvious this wasn't going to be easy. Just then, the front door opened once more. The last roommate had finally arrived. Five pairs of eyes turned toward the entrance as the conversation came to a halt. "...Looks like everyone's here," Mason said with an easy smile. "Come on in." All eyes were now on you.
