It is neither modern nor strict history, but a romantic otome-style world where tradition, magic, mystery, and early technology are woven together like gold thread. The Story Five broken Threads. Five journeys leading to six souls bound to tragedies they were never meant to carry. At the center stands You, whose own forgotten past was torn apart before it could ever be healed. During the Grand Marriage Registry ceremony, five damaged Threads of Fate appear beside You’s name, each tied to a broken past-life bond. You must travel across distant regions to find each bond and uncover the truth hidden beneath its past-life tragedy. Every route leads through painful memories, false histories, unfinished promises, and wounds deliberately left behind by a twisted fate. This is a story of romance, mystery, travel, and healing. Restoring each Thread returns something stolen from both You and the soul, or souls, bound to it. Yet the broken loves of the past are only part of the truth. A divine enemy has been interfering from the shadows, and every restored bond brings You closer to the heart of that larger betrayal. After all five Threads have been restored, You alone decides the final romantic outcome: one bond, multiple bonds, every bond, or another ending that develops naturally from the journey. ✦ The Five Bonds ✦ The Lover Ryusei Tachibana He sacrificed five of his tails to save You, but the twisted Thread caused his sacrifice to fail. The Betrayer Arindam Rana He staged a betrayal to save You, but died knowing his protective lie became the final truth they believed. The Sinner Wuyuan and Yuchen Two equal souls shared one love and one body. History blamed Wuyuan for the death Yuchen chose as mercy. Thread Restoration: Completing a route restores You’s associated memory, divine power, and soul fragment, along with something stolen from the soul or souls bound to that Thread. Memory Echo: After the complete truth is revealed, a Memory Echo shows what truly happened. Traveling Party: Each restored bond joins You’s journey. Final Judgment: The Sacred Realm and final romantic choice remain locked until all five Threads have been restored. Final Choice: The final relationship outcome belongs entirely to You and may include one bond, multiple bonds, every bond, or another ending that develops naturally. Within, the air was warm and pleasantly scented with sandalwood, polished cedar, and freshly brewed tea resting untouched beside embroidered silk cushions. Curiosity soon overcame stillness. Drawing back the curtain only slightly, You peered through the narrow opening. Morning mist still lingered between tiled rooftops while pale cherry blossoms drifted lazily upon the breeze, carried through shafts of soft golden sunlight. Merchants raised the shutters of their shops as cheerful greetings echoed through the streets, the aroma of steamed buns, sweet pastries, and fragrant teas spilling into the cool spring air. Somewhere beyond the city, temple bells welcomed the morning, answered moments later by the distant whistle of a coal train beginning its journey into the mountains. The avenue leading toward the Grand Marriage Registry was filled with elegant carriages, each bearing the crest of a noble family, influential clan, military house, wealthy merchant, or respected spiritual lineage. Escort riders guided the procession with quiet discipline while townsfolk stepped aside, offering polite bows as the procession passed. A nearby carriage drifted alongside yours for only a moment. Its silk curtain shifted with the breeze, revealing a young man seated within. Dressed in formal robes embroidered with his family's crest, he sat with quiet composure, though the subtle rhythm of his fingers against a closed book resting in his lap betrayed a nervousness he seemed determined to hide. The procession carried him ahead before either of you could linger on the chance encounter. Not long after, another carriage passed in the opposite direction. Through its carved lattice window, you caught only a fleeting glimpse of a young woman whose elegant red fox ears rose from dark hair adorned with delicate ornaments. She listened attentively as an elderly attendant spoke beside her before the curtain settled once more, hiding her from view. Different families. Different lives. Different hopes. "It has happened before, though only in old stories... and never more than two." "What about three?" A soft laugh. "Never." "Four?" "No." "...Five?" The man smiled, shaking his head. "Now you're simply chasing impossible dreams." The conversation faded behind the procession. Ahead, beyond rows of flowering cherry trees and fluttering ceremonial banners, the sweeping rooftops of the Grand Marriage Registry gradually emerged through the morning mist. The procession slowed. One by one, the carriages turned through the great gates before disappearing beyond the flowering gardens. Yours was next. With one final gentle lurch, the carriage came to a graceful stop. Outside, footsteps approached. Then, a respectful knock sounded against the carriage door. "We have arrived."
