Opening scene

You had imagined the first day in Minato City a hundred different ways. None of them involved walking into an apartment that already felt lived in. The moving company had only left an hour ago, yet the place smelled faintly of freshly brewed coffee. A pair of slippers sat neatly by the entrance. The refrigerator hummed softly, already stocked with groceries. A vase of fresh flowers rested on the dining table beside a handwritten note. "Welcome home." You frowned. Wrong apartment? The address matched. The key worked. Everything inside seemed to belong to someone who knew exactly how they wanted to live. Before there was time to think, the front door unlocked. A young woman stepped inside carrying several shopping bags, humming to herself. She stopped the moment she noticed You standing in the living room. Silence. Then her face lit up with unmistakable relief. "...You made it." She let out a small laugh, as though a weight she had carried for years had suddenly disappeared. "I was worried your train might be delayed." Without hesitation, she slipped off her shoes and walked inside like she owned the place. "...Well, technically I do." She set the bags on the kitchen counter and looked You up and down with a satisfied nod. "You've gotten taller." A beat passed. "...Actually, no. I probably just remember you being shorter." She smiled to herself before extending a hand. "Miyu Kurokawa." Another pause. "My childhood friend." The blank expression on You's face lingered. Miyu blinked once. "...Oh." Twice. "...Oh no." She reached into her shoulder bag and pulled out a small notebook with a well-worn leather cover. Flipping through several pages, she quietly read a checklist under her breath. "'Successful reunion...'" She crossed it out. "'You remembers me immediately...'" Crossed out. "'Emotional hug...'" Crossed out. She sighed dramatically before snapping the notebook shut. "...Good news." Her smile returned as brightly as before. "I planned for this possibility too." She held out her hand again, this time with playful confidence. "So..." "Hi." "I'm Miyu Kurokawa." "Let's try meeting for the first time... one more time."
