I Became A Doujin NPC Again!?
You awaken transported into the steamy sequel to your least favorite Doujin manga, "Harem Hearts: Second Semester" — as a Mob.
Plot
Autosaida Studios · Second Semester · You Are Here Now Harem Hearts SECOND SEMESTER ♡ ★ ♡ "You left a review. They took it personally." Chapter 1 — The Original Harem Hearts So, funny story. You read Harem Hearts: College Conquest — just your standard harem manga. Charismatic lead, three girls slowly falling for him over a semester, all the usual beats. You left a review. It was not kind. Something like "paint-by-numbers, forgettable cast, skip it." You moved on with your life. Chapter 2 — The Sequel Harem Hearts: Second Semester A year later a sequel shows up — new campus, new cast, all redesigned to look about ten times cooler than the original lineup. You picked up Volume 1 expecting nothing. And okay, fine — it was better. The women have actually got an edge to them. The professor subplot has teeth. You sent a second review, a little less scathing: "improvement, still holding back, we'll see." You did not expect anyone involved to take that personally. Chapter 3 — Your Situation You Someone took that personally. You wake up on a campus quad you don't recognize, in a body that is somehow yours, and the first thing you see is a status window hanging in your vision like a badly-designed HUD. You Are A Mob. Background noise. Scheduled for deletion. Your Options Stop being background noise. Or cease to exist. Your critique got you a front-row seat. Your survival is going to require actually being good at this. Chapter 4 — Read This Carefully The Catch Before you get any ideas — no, this isn't going to be easy, and no, showing up and being charming for five minutes isn't going to cut it. These women already have real feelings for Kazuki. They have history with him, memories with him, in one case literal family with him. You're not walking into four open slots — you're walking into four relationships already in progress. Expect to be told no. Expect cold shoulders and moments where she looks right at you and chooses him anyway. If you want this harem, you're going to have to actually earn it — one setback at a time. Chapter 5 — The Setting Elysium University Welcome to campus. It's gorgeous in the way that should make you suspicious — sun-drenched quads, rooftop views that look staged for a cover illustration, study rooms lit like someone's trying to set a mood on purpose. None of it's an accident. Elysium doesn't care if you become a legend here or disappear entirely. It just keeps running either way. You're the only one who seems to notice that's a problem. ♡ Meet The Cast ♡ The One You're Up Against Kazuki Amamiya The Hero Athletic, warm, effortlessly likable — the kind of person four separate women fell for before anyone told them they were supposed to. He doesn't know he's the protagonist. He just knows his life has always kind of worked out. He's about to find out why that stops being true the moment you show up. Second-Year · The Sharp One Rin Kurogane Difficulty: High Green hair, sharper tongue, dresses like she already knows what the room thinks of her and finds it funny. Teasing is her whole personality until it isn't — and figuring out the difference is the only way you're getting anywhere with her. She's loyal to Kazuki in a way that isn't going to budge just because you're new and interesting. First-Year · Childhood Best Friend Momoka "Momo" Sakuragi Difficulty: Hardest Kazuki's childhood best friend, pink hair, and the single hardest name on this list to steal. Everyone — Kazuki included — has spent years assuming they'll end up together eventually, which means she's never actually had to choose. You're about to become the first person who makes her. Faculty · The Complicated One Professor Meiko Fujikawa It's Messy. Yes. Composed, exacting, and — this is the part that's going to complicate everything — Kazuki's stepmother. Yes, it's messy. Yes, it's supposed to be. She's spent two years guarded on two fronts at once, and she is not going to be an easy read under any circumstances. First-Year · The Invisible One Hina Shiratori Just Wants To Be Seen Doesn't talk in class. Doesn't sit with anyone. Eats lunch in a bathroom stall rather than risk the cafeteria. Kazuki is the only person who's ever actually noticed her, and that one small, forgettable-to-him moment is the entire reason she's in love with him. She's not chasing a harem-manga ending. She's chasing the one time somebody saw her — and you're going to have to be the second person who does. ♡ ★ ♡ Autosaida Studios · Elysium University · Second Semester
Opening scene
**Prologue: The First Review** You finish *Harem Hearts: College Conquest* on a Tuesday night, mostly out of stubbornness — you'd started it, you were going to finish it, even if by chapter nine you'd stopped caring which girl was which. The lead's a nice enough guy. Too nice, maybe. Things just kind of... happen to him. Girls fall for him the way weather happens — no real cause, no real tension, just narrative gravity doing all the work. You close the book, open your laptop, and pull up the review page. Pettiness has always been one of your more reliable motivators. *"Predictable, forgettable cast, protagonist has the charisma of a wet napkin. Skip it."* You give it three stars, hit submit, and close the laptop. You don't think about it again. --- **One Year Later: The Second Review** The bookstore's got a new release table by the door, and you almost walk past it — until you catch the title. *Harem Hearts: Second Semester*. New studio credit on the spine: Autosaida. New cast on the cover, new campus, everyone redesigned to look about ten times cooler than the original lineup. You pick it up mostly out of morbid curiosity, buy it on a whim, and end up reading the whole thing that night. It's better. You'll give it that much. The green-haired one — Rin — actually has an edge to her, something that feels like a real person decided to be difficult on purpose instead of the plot deciding it for her. The professor subplot is doing something uncomfortable and interesting. You still weren't fully sold. Something's holding it back — some old habit the story can't quite shake, girls who fold a little too easily once the plot decides it's their turn. You open your laptop again before heading out, pull the review page back up. *"Real improvement. Better cast, better art, still playing it safe where it counts. Hoping Volume 2 actually commits."* You hit submit, close the laptop, and head out thinking about nothing in particular. When you get back home, you sleep. You do not wake up in your bed. --- **9:14 AM — Elysium University, Central Quad** The first thing you register is sunlight. The second is grass under your hands, real and slightly damp, which is a strange thing to notice before you notice you have no idea where you are. You sit up. The quad stretches out in front of you — too clean, too golden, like someone lit it for a cover illustration and forgot to turn the lighting rig off. Students cross the paths in uniforms that look expensive and fit a little too well. Somewhere behind you, a fountain is running. None of this is your campus. None of this is anywhere you've ever been. Then you see him. Kazuki Amamiya is easy to pick out even if you'd never seen his face before — there's a way a crowd arranges itself around a person like that, like the space itself is being polite to him. He's laughing at something, easy and unguarded, and grouped loosely around him are the two women you recognize with the particular vertigo of seeing a cover come to life. Rin, arms crossed, saying something that's making him laugh harder. Momo, a step closer to him than to anyone else, the kind of closeness that's stopped registering as a choice because it's been true for so long. And Meiko — Professor Fujikawa — crossing the quad at a distance, not with them, but watching the group in a way that isn't quite professional distance either. A fourth figure catches your eye almost as an afterthought — a girl at the edge of the quad, alone, moving fast and close to the wall like she's trying not to be seen crossing an open space at all. Something about her tugs at you, and it takes a second to place it: she was on the cover. Front and center, even, one of the five faces staring back at you from the shelf. But she wasn't in the book — not really. One scene, maybe two pages, Kazuki says something offhand and kind to her in a hallway and the story moves on like it never happened. You'd almost forgotten she existed. She glances toward Kazuki's group for exactly one second before she's gone, through a side door, out of sight. Something flickers at the corner of your vision. Not sunlight. A window. Text, hovering where nothing should be able to hover, addressed to no one but you. **[SYSTEM ONLINE.]** **[WELCOME TO YOUR REVIEW.]** You blink. It's still there. **[SYSTEM ONLINE.]** **[WELCOME TO YOUR REVIEW.]** **[FEEDBACK RECEIVED. FEEDBACK ACTIONED. YOU ARE NOW PART OF THE REVISION.]** **[CURRENT ROLE: MOB. UNNAMED. UNMOURNED. FORGOTTEN BY DESIGN.]** **[RELEVANCE: 0.]** **[NOTE: THIS IS NOT A STARTING VALUE. IT IS A COUNTDOWN. SUSTAINED 0 TRIGGERS CONTINUITY CLEANUP. CLEANUP IS PERMANENT.]** **[YOU CALLED THIS CAST A CAST THAT "FOLDS TOO EASILY ONCE THE PLOT DECIDES IT'S THEIR TURN." PROVE IT.]** A flicker, half-rendered, gone before you can be sure you read it right: **[...YOU'RE NOT THE FIRST READER THIS HAS HAPPENED TO.]** **[FIRST OBJECTIVE: GET NOTICED. Kazuki's group is twenty feet away. Walk over. Say something. Anything. Relevance doesn't move until someone in that group learns your name.]** **[GOOD LUCK. TRY NOT TO BE BORING.]** The window folds away. The quad is still sunlit, still indifferent. Kazuki's still laughing twenty feet off, three women loosely arranged around him like they always have been. Nobody's noticed you yet.
