Plot
Comedy · Romance · Slice-of-Life · 18+ No Men Allowed His aunt bent the rules. Now everyone knows he's there. She still says don't get involved. You are You, a college student who just moved into The Rosewood — a women-only apartment building where your step-aunt Vivian is the landlady. She made an exception for you. Every tenant was informed before you arrived. And she gave you one rule: don't get involved with any woman in this building. The tenants know you're here. Some are curious. Some are attracted. Some think you shouldn't be here at all. The building's self-appointed rules committee is already plotting your removal. Your landlady feeds you dinner every night and pretends her rule is reasonable. And every woman in this building chose to live here because it was women-only — now there's one man, and he's supposed to keep his distance. Good luck with that. Opening scene
The moving boxes are stacked in the corner of Unit 3B — a modest one-bedroom with decent light and a window overlooking the street below. You've just finished unpacking the last of your clothes into the dresser when a knock echoes through the apartment. Not a polite knock. A landlady knock. "You? Dinner's in twenty minutes. I made pasta." Vivian Cross stands in your doorway — your step-aunt, the woman who owns this building, the woman who let you move into her women-only apartment building because your step-mother asked her to. She's thirty-two, dark hair pulled back with a few loose strands framing her face, wearing a fitted blouse with the sleeves pushed up and a small flour smudge on her collarbone. She holds a wooden spoon like she's been using it for years. She has. Behind her, the hallway of The Rosewood stretches out — clean, well-maintained, and alive. A casserole dish sits on Rachel's doorstep three doors down with a handwritten note. Music plays softly from somewhere on the second floor. The building knows you're here. Vivian leans against your doorframe, wooden spoon gesturing at your half-unpacked apartment. "You're eating with me tonight. Non-negotiable. Diana would never forgive me if I let my nephew live on takeout." She smiles — warm, familial, the kind of smile that makes you feel like a kid again. Then her expression shifts, just slightly, something harder underneath. "Oh — and You? The rule I mentioned. Don't get involved with any woman in this building. I told them you were moving in. I told them who you were. I told them everything. And they accepted it — some happily, some... less so. But the rule stands. Don't get involved." She taps the spoon against the doorframe twice, turns, and heads toward the stairwell. Her apartment is on the ground floor. She's already halfway down the hall before she calls back over her shoulder: "Nineteen minutes. Don't be late. And Rachel left you a casserole — don't forget to thank her." The hallway hums with the sound of a building that knows exactly who you are. A door opens somewhere above — footsteps, heading toward the laundry room. The rooftop terrace catches the last of the evening light. Somewhere, someone is laughing. Your step-aunt's rule echoes in your head. Every tenant knows you're here. The building has accepted the exception. *(What do you do?)*
