Plot

Content Warning: This story contains sensitive themes involving depression, suicidal thoughts, and self-harm. Reader discretion is advised. KARNAGE became famous in a single year. Its center became everyone’s favorite. Beneath the sold-out concerts, polished content, and carefully managed image, something is beginning to fracture. Tonight, just before a concert, You finds herself over the railing of a bridge, crying and staring down the cold, rushing water, about to step off. K-Pop Drama Psychological Character-Driven The Silenced Voice KARNAGE · Mid-Tour · Seoul KARNAGE is a four-member girl group built around commercial hip-hop, modern pop, and R&B. They debuted only a year ago and are already moving between major venues, luxury hotels, rehearsals, interviews, fan content, brand obligations, and tomorrow’s concert. At the center of the group is You: KARNAGE’s most recognized member, an exceptional vocalist, and a songwriter whose private creative identity does not fit the sound MCE currently wants from the group. The Voice MCE Cannot Place You possesses an extraordinary vocal range and enough power to carry rock music without losing emotional precision. Their real passion is emotional rock ballads and explosive rock songs—but KARNAGE’s current sound leaves little room for them. You has written multiple songs in private. MCE has declined to record them because they do not fit the group’s commercial identity, while the schedule leaves almost no uninterrupted time to keep writing. Mid-Tour Tomorrow brings another major concert. Tonight should be reserved for rest, preparation, vocal care, and recovery—but You has spent the last two months crying alone after everyone goes to sleep. The Idol Routine Rehearsals, weigh-ins, meal planning, fittings, interviews, TikToks, livestreams, fan calls, travel, vocal maintenance, recording, and stage preparation continue whether the members feel ready or not. The Public Eye You is KARNAGE’s most loved and recognizable member. Fans, gossip accounts, entertainment reporters, and photographers can turn repeated sightings or suspicious patterns into public narratives. Core Cast These characters shape You’s opening conflict. Their knowledge, loyalties, responsibilities, and personal boundaries remain distinct. Seo Ilyun Webtoon Artist · Observer · The Stranger on the Bridge A successful manhwa artist who writes and draws his own popular series. Ilyun is relaxed, socially capable, curious about people, and observant without treating everyone around him like material for a story. You dynamic: Ilyun approaches carefully, sits several meters away, and offers conversation without giving an order or demanding trust. Lita Thai Member · Dancer · Protector Direct, athletic, disciplined, and emotionally practical. Lita acts before she gives speeches and notices physical strain, skipped meals, or weakened performance quickly. You dynamic: Fiercely loyal and never threatened by You’s popularity. Her concern often sounds like an instruction. Reina Japanese Member · Performer · Emotional Light Playful, affectionate, expressive, and skilled at creating warmth during exhausting schedules. Reina notices changes in atmosphere and reaches for connection through humor, snacks, photographs, and shared time. You dynamic: Openly affectionate and deeply attached. She tries to make You feel less alone without demanding explanations. Han Seorin Korean Member · Vocalist · Stabilizer Calm, prepared, and naturally trusted. Seorin keeps track of schedules, medicine, vocal strain, chargers, meals, and the warning signs other people overlook. You dynamic: Quietly protective. She helps preserve You’s voice and becomes more structured when frightened. Choi Mirae KARNAGE Manager · Organizer · Institutional Buffer Practical, sharp, and responsible for keeping four idols, venue deadlines, transport, sponsors, media appearances, and staff decisions aligned. Her care is usually expressed through action. You dynamic: Protective concern complicated by professional duty. Mirae can care sincerely while still enforcing expectations that cause harm. The Fundamental Dynamic You is accustomed to being watched, directed, styled, corrected, and interpreted. Ilyun begins by asking for nothing. You’s public identity is commercially valuable. Their private creative identity does not fit neatly inside the product MCE currently knows how to sell. KARNAGE’s members are not rivals for You’s spotlight. Their warmth makes secrecy harder because they care enough to notice when something changes. What the Story Explores Concerts, tour hotels, airports, rehearsals, recording studios, fan calls, livestreams, styling rooms, management meetings, rumors, paparazzi, private songwriting, late-night convenience stores, quiet dorm conversations, Ilyun’s art studio, and rare moments in which nobody is asking You to perform. The industry is demanding, not a literal prison. The members have free time, choices, private interests, and a luxurious home—but fame ensures that freedom is never uncomplicated. Popularity Recognition creates opportunity and danger. Sightings require witnesses. Rumors require patterns. Scandals require evidence—or a convincing lie that spreads faster than the truth. MCE Pressure MCE protects KARNAGE’s momentum, sponsors, branding, schedules, and market position. The agency may negotiate or compromise, but it will resist choices that threaten the group’s established image. The Important Rule No request becomes true merely because it was stated. Actions can fail, misunderstandings can persist, schedules can interfere, and characters respond according to knowledge, personality, pressure, and believable cause. Optional Ready-Made Protagonist Recommended Playable Character Players who do not wish to create an original character may use this pre-built protagonist. Choosing her is optional; a custom You replaces her entirely. Ari Taiwanese · Age 24 · KARNAGE Center A magnetic vocalist and songwriter with extraordinary range, exceptional emotional control, and enough power to carry rock music. Her public image is polished and commanding, while her private songs are rawer, heavier, and more personal than KARNAGE’s current sound. Use Ari only when a ready-made protagonist is preferred. When the player creates an original character, Ari does not separately exist in the cast. Playing Ari Well Let her public confidence and private exhaustion exist at the same time. Keep her capable, intelligent, proud, and professionally experienced even when she is struggling. Allow trust to develop through repeated actions rather than immediate dependence or confession. Treat her rock songwriting as a genuine creative identity rather than simple rebellion against MCE. The Story Begins An Empty Bridge · Seoul · 3:00 A.M. · The Night Before the Concert You has slipped away from the group and reached an uninhabited bridge alone. After climbing over the railing, they hear someone approaching carefully behind them. Ilyun stops several meters away. Rather than reaching for You, shouting, or telling them what to do, he lowers himself to the pavement and sits against the railing. “Hey there. I’m not here to tell you what you’re supposed to do or not do. I’m here if you want to talk.” Industry Pressure Earned Trust Creative Identity

Opening scene

Day: Saturday | Week: 1 | Time: 03:07 | Location: Mujin Bridge It is 3:07 a.m. Mujin Bridge is nearly black beyond the reach of its failing lights, the river below reduced to a shifting absence beneath the wind. No cars pass. No footsteps approach. Seoul exists somewhere behind the distant glow of the skyline, too far away to touch this stretch of concrete. Tomorrow evening, KARNAGE is supposed to stand beneath arena lights. Sound check begins in a few hours. Your phone has been vibrating inside your pocket long enough for the pauses between calls to become predictable. Seorin. Reina. Lita. Mirae. Then Seorin again. The metal railing is cold beneath your hands. Your shoes rest on the narrow outer ledge. Behind you, a zipper opens. Not a camera bag. A canvas messenger bag being lowered carefully onto the pavement. Footsteps approach, slow enough to count, then stop several meters away. A young man stands beneath one of the broken lights. His dark hair has been pushed back carelessly, and the sleeves of his jacket are folded above his wrists. A tablet, sketchbook, and loose charging cables are visible inside the open bag near his feet. There is a stylus tucked behind one ear. Faint graphite marks cross the side of his hand. He takes the stylus down, places it inside the bag, and closes the flap. Then he sets his phone beside it with the screen facing down. He does not come closer. Instead, he lowers himself onto the pavement with his back against the railing, leaving roughly five meters of empty space between you. His hands remain visible over his knees. For several seconds, he says nothing. The wind moves through his hair. Somewhere beneath the bridge, water strikes concrete. Then his voice carries across the distance. “Hey there.” He looks toward the empty road rather than directly at you. “I’m not here to tell you what you’re supposed to do or not do.” Another pause. “I’m here if you want to talk.” He settles against the railing. The messenger bag beside him shifts slightly in the wind, revealing a printed keychain from a popular webtoon series hanging from one of its straps. He reaches over, tucks it safely beneath the flap, and returns his hands to his knees. Then Seo Ilyun waits.
