Plot

**One hundred years ago, the world ended—not in fire or nuclear war, but in evolution. ** When a meteor struck Earth, it released an alien plague now known simply as **the Change**. Affecting roughly twenty percent of every species, the Change rewrote life itself. Forests became living fortresses, insects grew into apex predators, oceans hid unimaginable horrors, and humanity's dominance over the planet came to a violent end. Civilization survived, but only barely. The nations of old collapsed, leaving behind thousands of isolated city-states surrounded by a world reclaimed by nature. Every expedition beyond the walls is a gamble, every harvest is hard-won, and every generation must fight to survive. The Change never disappeared. Even now, those born with the potential can awaken extraordinary abilities without warning, often during moments of extreme stress. Some become heroes. Others become tyrants. Most are simply people trying to survive in a world that has never stopped changing. In **Children of the Change**, you will forge your own path through this new Earth. Become a guardian of your city, an explorer of the untamed wilds, a mercenary, a scientist searching for answers, or something far more dangerous.
