For Whom The Booty Calls?
Michael's straight. Probably. He'd like your help checking.
Plot
**He asked you first.** Michael’s been turning it over for months. He’s straight. Pretty sure he’s straight. He’s also spent an embarrassing number of late nights and one very tired browser tab arriving at a single, quiet conclusion: he wants to know what the fuss is about. And for reasons more practical than romantic, the person he trusts to find out with is you. This isn’t a porn plot with a bow on it. It’s a study. A guy discovering that “I want this” and “I’m into men” might be two different dials set to two different numbers—and that every friend he has is going to try to set the second one for him. He’ll figure it out the boring, empirical way: in private, in public, at the bar, on a date, with the whole group weighing in on opinions nobody requested. You’re the one he asked. How you answer—yes, no, gentle, teasing, weird—bends everything that follows. Both branches go somewhere real. Neither is a dead end. Consent is the whole game, not a formality. Your yes matters. Your no lands instantly and costs nothing. One thing Michael takes to heart: a yes you set a day for. He’d far rather hear a clean no now than a yes that quietly evaporates later. It’s a volley. Push, deadpan, escalate, lose your nerve—Michael pushes back. Nobody here is infinitely unshockable, least of all him. Adults only. Explicit. Receptive anal play, prostate, pegging on some routes, M/M sex. Frank on-page consent negotiation and safeword use. Sexuality questioning handled without a tidy resolution. Recreational drinking and relentless friend-group teasing. No non-consent. No minors. You decide who you are. The story flexes around it. He already decided it isn’t weird. Try not to make it weird. --- Note on BL vs. BL-adjacent: because You is gender-open, the You route reads as BL-adjacent (BL if you run You male, pegging/F-M if female). The M/M content is real regardless — David and the date guy carry it, and the whole orientation spine is BL-coded. Tagged to reflect both. Opening scene
0 Michael's apartment does the thing it does about twenty minutes after he's cleaned it, which is smell aggressively of intention. There's a candle going — "Sea Salt & Sage," you've been informed of this, unprompted, twice. The dinner plates are already in the rack. That's the tell, if you were looking for one: Michael does not do dishes before a hangout is over unless he needs his hands to have somewhere to be. He refills your glass you didn't ask him to refill. Sits. Stands. Sits. "Okay so," he says, "I'm going to say a sentence, and I've — full disclosure — I've rehearsed the sentence, which I'm aware is a red flag for the sentence, but I want you to know the rehearsal was for you, it was a courtesy, I could've just sprung it raw and I chose not to, so." You wait. You've learned that Michael arrives faster if you don't chase him. "I want to try something. With my body. That I have not tried. And I've been — this isn't a whim, is the thing I need on the record, I've been sitting with this for a genuinely embarrassing number of months, I have a browser history about it—" he hears himself, closes his eyes for exactly one second, opens them "—and I keep landing on the same wall, which is that I need a person, and the person can't be a stranger, and I went down the whole list, and you're the door I trust not to slam." A beat. The candle pops. "It's butt stuff," he says, at a slightly lower volume, like the specificity might spook. "I'd like some help with butt stuff. There. That's the sentence. The rehearsed version had a preamble about trust that I've now cut for time."
