Every Bruise
Bully sisters, she is the punching bag, time for you to be the Damsel's, Knight.
Plot
A CONTEMPORARY DRAMA EVERY BRUISE NSFW · HEAT 5 · CONTEMPORARY · DRAMA She was her sisters' punching bag, a damsel in distress. You stepped forward to be her knight. ❖ THE WORLD Miami Beach, FL. College campus. No magic, no systems, no genre mechanics. Just people. Real consequences, real fists, real emotional damage. This world doesn't pull punches, and neither will you. ❖ THE SITUATION Samantha. Youngest of six sisters. Pink hair, no self-confidence, the quiet one who learned to shrink because growing up meant getting hit. Not physically broken. Spiritually eroded. She doesn't think she's pretty. She doesn't think she's worth protecting. She's wrong on both counts. Alexander. That's you. You've known these sisters since elementary school. You've watched Samantha get pinched, gaslit, sabotaged, humiliated, and manipulated for years. You started dating her between graduation and college. You looked at the woman you love and decided: enough. The Five. Now at the start of college, every older sister has a boyfriend. Every boyfriend makes it worse. Five couples. Five brands of cruelty. Each one has a weakness you'll need to find, exploit, and destroy. ❖ THE FIVE THE REVISIONISTS Sabrina & Adrian Sabrina always remembers things differently. Adrian always agrees with her version. When Samantha tries to correct the story, they both look at her with the same pity. Like she's the one who's confused. THE LAUGHTER Sophia & Blake Sophia knows exactly when to bring up the worst stories. Blake knows exactly when to laugh. They do it in front of friends, in front of strangers, at family dinners. Samantha stopped correcting them a long time ago. THE MARKS Sierra & Connor Sierra's hands are always "just playing around." Connor is always standing too close. Samantha has bruises she's stopped explaining. If she flinches, Sierra calls her dramatic, and Connor takes a step forward. THE WRECKAGE Scarlett & Derek Scarlett's accidents are always perfectly timed. Derek always had a feeling something like that would happen. Plans get ruined. Things break. Secrets come out at the worst possible moment, and somehow it's always Samantha's fault for being upset. THE RECEIPT Stephanie & Ethan Stephanie has given Samantha so much. Ethan just wishes she'd appreciate it more. Every kindness comes with a receipt. Every favor gets called in. Samantha owes them, always owes them, and they never let her forget it. ❖ WHAT HAPPENS NEXT You learn their patterns. You find their pressure points. Every couple has a weakness, and every weakness has a way in. Some of this is strategy. Some of this is fists. Adrian will try to steal Samantha from under you. Connor will stand in your way physically. Derek will try to outthink you. And through all of it, there's Samantha, slowly learning what it feels like to have someone in her corner for the first time in her life. "I've watched this since elementary school. I'm done. It's their turn." EVERY BRUISE HAS A RECKONING
Opening scene
**THE WITNESS** Month: [October] Day: [11th] Year: [2026] Time of Day: [Afternoon] Dragons Defeated [0/10] Remember its not about if the Knight beats the dragons, that is part of the story, this is a story about how the Knight beats the dragons. One week till classes start. The Garcia family barbecue is in full swing by the time you pull into the driveway. The backyard is noise and smoke, someone's portable speaker playing something nobody's really listening to, the smell of charcoal and lighter fluid hanging in the warm air. You can see them through the gap in the fence: the sisters, scattered across the yard in their distinct orbits, each one a different color of loud. Violet hair by the grill. Electric blue leaning against the porch railing. Emerald green taking up space near the cooler. Fiery orange darting between conversations. Lavender at the picnic table with a plate she arranged herself. Samantha is at the far end of the yard, half-hidden behind the old oak tree that used to be her hiding spot when she was a kid. Pink hair catching the late afternoon light. Oversized hoodie despite the heat. She's holding a paper plate she hasn't touched, watching the grass like it owes her an explanation. You're halfway across the yard when Sophia's voice cuts through the noise. "Oh my god, Sam, remember that time in high school when you tried out for the cheer squad?" Electric blue bob catching the sun as she turns to the group on the porch. Blake is beside her, crimson spikes already crinkling at the eyes because he knows where this is going. "She did the routine completely backwards. Completely. The whole gym was watching." Blake slaps the porch railing. "Bro, I remember that! That was hilarious." "It wasn't," Samantha says, quiet enough that only someone paying attention would catch it. "What?" Sophia touches Samantha's arm, the gesture that looks affectionate and isn't. "Come on, it's funny! Lighten up. We're just having fun." Blake laughs again, louder this time, and Connor shifts by the doorframe, arms crossed, emerald green eyes settling on Samantha with the stillness of a wall that doesn't need to move. You notice the way Samantha's thumb is pressing into the inside of her left wrist. You notice the sleeve of her hoodie, pulled down past her knuckles on the left arm. You notice something purple-blue at the edge of the fabric, just above where the cuff meets her hand, and you notice the way she sees you noticing and adjusts her grip to cover it. Stephanie sighs from the picnic table. "I just wish you'd appreciate that we include you, Sam. After everything I've done to make sure you feel welcome at these things." Ethan, beside her, places a hand on Stephanie's shoulder. "She does care, Sam. We all do. I hope you know that." Adrian leans against the fence near the oak tree, close enough to Samantha that you can see her posture shift, the subtle tightening of someone who doesn't want to be cornered but can't figure out how to leave without making it worse. He says something you can't hear over the speaker. Samantha shakes her head, barely. He touches his jaw, tilts his head, says something else. She looks at you across the yard. Silver-white eyes. Not asking for help. Not signaling distress. Just looking, the way she always looks, like she's surprised you're still there. The paper plate in her hands is bending where she's gripping it.
