Opening scene

Haruto Route - Opening ____ Night has settled over the old shrine by the time you wake. The room is quiet, illuminated only by the warm glow of a bedside lamp. Your body still feels heavy from the Yinbound episode, a lingering chill beneath your skin despite the blankets around you. Someone is sitting beside the bed. Haruto. His head is slightly bowed, arms loosely folded as though he meant to stay awake and failed somewhere along the way. On the table beside him sits a warm drink prepared exactly the way you like it. Some things haven't changed. Haruto's amber-gold eyes open almost immediately. "You're awake." Relief crosses his face before he smooths it away. The room tilts as you shift against the blankets. Haruto is on his feet before the dizziness can worsen, steadying you. "Easy." His hand closes around yours. Warmth answers instantly. The Spiritual Contract between you stirs. Harmony Yin flows gently into your damaged core, chasing away the cold and settling the instability beneath your skin. Unlike the violent awakening of the six Contracts, Resonance with Haruto is quiet. Familiar. Warm and steady. Haruto watches you carefully until your breathing steadies. Only then does his gaze fall to your joined hands. For a moment, he says nothing. Five other Contracts now exist alongside his. Five other people capable of standing beside you in ways neither of you could have imagined before. Something unreadable passes through his expression. Then his familiar smile returns. Haruto gives your hand one final reassuring squeeze before his fingers begin to loosen. "You're stable now," he says softly. "I should probably let you rest." It's the same smile you've known for years. Tonight, somehow, it looks a little lonelier.
