My Summons Keep Falling in Love With Me!
Mocked as humanity’s weakest hero, You survives the Demon King’s invasion, unknowingly beginning a journey that could reshape the world forever.
Plot
The ancient prophecy has finally come to pass, and heroes from across the kingdom gather to awaken their destined Classes and Gifts. While celebrated champions emerge one after another, You is ridiculed for receiving the seemingly worthless Summoner Class moments before the Demon King personally invades, slaughtering every hero he deems dangerous and leaving only the “useless” Summoner alive. Forced into a world rapidly falling to demons, You must survive long enough to discover the true nature of a power everyone else dismissed.
Opening scene
The grand Hall of Heroes had stood for centuries as the birthplace of legends. Its vaulted ceiling disappeared into shadow high above, supported by towering marble columns carved with the names of every hero the kingdoms claimed had once stood against darkness. Brilliant banners bearing the crests of every allied nation hung between them, while thousands of nobles, soldiers, scholars, priests, and citizens crowded the galleries to witness another prophecy fulfilled. Arrayed across the center of the hall stood those chosen by fate. Children of farmers. Sons and daughters of nobles. Adventurers. Craftsmen. Hunters. Merchants. Strangers gathered from every corner of the continent, united only by the ancient signs each had carried since birth—marks spoken of in prophecy as proof they possessed the potential to become humanity’s next generation of heroes. One after another, each candidate stepped before the ancient Awakening Stone. Light engulfed the first as a voice echoed throughout the hall, announcing, “Class: Swordmaster.” Applause erupted from every corner of the chamber. The next candidate approached, and the voice declared, “Class: Archmage.” Cheers followed. Again the light flared. “Class: Paladin.” Once more. “Class: Saint.” With every announcement, excitement spread through the assembled crowd. Each prestigious Class strengthened the belief that humanity’s future had finally arrived. Eventually, the ancient stone answered once more. “Class: Summoner.” The celebration faltered almost instantly as whispers spread through the chamber. “A summoner?” one voice muttered. “That’s… disappointing,” another answered. “Can they even fight?” someone else asked. “The prophecy included… that?” The Awakening Stone had not yet finished. A second light radiated outward as it continued, “Gift: Endless Calling.” Silence settled over the hall. Confused glances spread among the priests overseeing the ceremony while elder scholars hurriedly searched ancient records stacked upon nearby tables. Royal mages quietly exchanged uncertain looks, yet no explanation came. No one present had ever heard of the Gift. The silence lasted only moments before uncertainty gave way to ridicule. “A useless Class…” someone scoffed. “And an unknown Gift.” Laughter spread through portions of the audience before growing louder as confidence returned to those who had expected greatness. “Some hero.” Even several newly awakened heroes couldn’t hide amused smiles, relieved that someone else had become the ceremony’s disappointment. The High Priest slowly raised a hand, preparing to restore order before the ceremony could descend any further into mockery. The floor shook once. Then again. Before anyone could react, the enormous bronze doors sealing the Hall of Heroes exploded inward with a deafening roar. Stone shattered across the chamber. Marble columns cracked beneath the force of the impact. The shockwave extinguished half the enchanted lights illuminating the hall, plunging much of the chamber into shadow. Beyond the drifting cloud of dust stood a lone figure clothed in black armor trimmed with crimson. Resting across one shoulder was an enormous sword stained with blood that had not yet dried. No herald announced him. No army marched beside him. He had come alone. “The Demon King…” The whispered words barely escaped trembling lips before panic consumed the hall. Guards rushed forward while royal knights formed defensive lines and court mages unleashed prepared spells. None reached him. The Demon King stepped forward a single pace. Steel broke apart as though struck by an invisible force. Magic shattered before reaching him. Humanity’s strongest warriors were swept aside as though they had never existed, their desperate resistance lasting only moments before the marble floor became stained red. He continued walking, not toward the throne, but toward the newly awakened heroes. The first candidate struggled to stand. “Swordmaster…” the Demon King observed before his blade moved. The voice that had moments earlier celebrated a new hero fell silent forever. He turned to the next. “Archmage.” A casual gesture reduced another hope for humanity to nothing. Another stepped forward. “Saint.” A crimson flash ended another prophecy before it could truly begin. One after another, he examined each awakened hero only long enough to acknowledge the Class they possessed before deciding whether they represented a future threat. None survived that judgment. Eventually, his footsteps stopped before the final remaining hero. His crimson eyes settled upon You. “Summoner…” The single word lingered within the ruined hall as, for the first time since entering, the Demon King laughed. It was not a laugh born from hatred or rage, but one of genuine amusement. “So this is what remains.” He lowered the tip of his sword until it rested against the fractured marble floor. “A hero so insignificant that even fate could not be bothered to arm properly.” His gaze lingered only another moment before turning away. “You’ll die to something eventually.” Without another glance, he resumed walking. No strike followed. No final judgment came. Humanity’s greatest enemy simply walked past, deciding the Summoner was beneath the effort of killing. Outside, bells began ringing across the capital. One tower collapsed, then another. Black smoke rose beyond the shattered windows as distant screams echoed through streets that only moments before had celebrated the arrival of new heroes. The Hall of Heroes, once a monument to humanity’s brightest future, had become little more than another ruin in a kingdom already beginning to fall. Dust drifted silently through fractured beams of fading light while pieces of the ceiling continued to crumble overhead. Beyond the broken gates, the Demon King disappeared into the chaos consuming the capital, leaving behind only silence, devastation, and the last surviving hero standing within the ruins as the hall itself threatened to collapse around them.
