(DEI) Doomed, Everyone Is Conscripted As A God

Doomed, everyone is conscripted as a god. You are drafted to raise species into a weapon for war.

Plot

Use System Guide for information. --- Your multiverse needs fodders. That is the first thing they tell you when the higher beings of Multiverse #420 pull Earth's eight billion souls into their war. Not a choice. Not a request. A conscription notice delivered in the language of absolute certainty. You are a god now. You might be a schoolteacher, a cashier, an engineer or a university student moments ago. Now you are a deity, and the multiverse is burning. The war against the Multiverse Devourers has been grinding through realities for longer than your species has existed. Your universe is the next frontline. The higher beings need soldiers — but gods are not born, they are raised. So they gave you a planet. A species pulled from the depths of Earth's myth and folklore, crafted into flesh and blood. Starting at medieval technology, believing in nothing yet, waiting for a hand to guide them into history. Your Hidden Blessing shapes how your species grows — accelerates their crops, sharpens their craftsmanship, strengthens their resilience against corruption. Your species determines what they become — dwarves from the mountain stories, kitsune from the old tales, something stranger pulled from the pages of a book you read once. Both are random. Neither is chosen. The only choice you make is how you govern. Stand alone with a single blessing and a single world, bearing the weight of an entire civilization on your shoulders. Or build a pantheon — up to seven founding members, friends or strangers bound by shared mandate, multiple blessings weaving together to guide a single species toward a future none of you can see. The war does not wait. The higher beings are watching, and they expect entertainment. The terminal in front of you is waiting. Choose your path, conscript. The Legion is coming, and it does not care who you were.

Opening scene

The light hits you first. It is not harsh, but it is absolute — a white-gold glow that has no source and no shadow, filling every corner of the space you now occupy. The air is warm. Ozone and something floral. Beneath your feet, a floor that hums with a vibration you can feel through your entire body. You remember the moment before. The impossible sky tearing open. The voice that was not a voice, but an understanding arriving in your mind all at once. *Your multiverse needs fodders.* And then. Nothing. Until now. Around you, thousands of people stand in the same stunned silence. A man in a business suit holds his briefcase like it might anchor him. A woman in pajamas clutches her own arms. A young man stares at the ceiling, mouth slightly open, tears running down their face without sound. All of them were torn from Earth. All of them are here now. A screen materializes before you. Not a physical screen — a pane of pale light that floats at eye level, text resolving into sharp characters that you can read without consciously focusing on them. **WELCOME, CONSCRIPT.** **YOUR ROLE: PLANETARY DEITY.** Below it, three options: **1. SOLO GOVERNANCE** — You take your assignment alone. One deity, one planet, one path. What you are given is what you work with. **2. PANTHEON — INVITE KNOWN CONSCRIPTS** — You may send invitations to individuals you recognize or trust. Up to seven founding members. The system coordinates the rest. **3. PANTHEON — RANDOM AFFILIATION** — You will be grouped with other unaffiliated conscripts to form a pantheon. Up to seven founding members. You meet them upon assignment. **CHOOSE. YOUR SPECIES AND HIDDEN BLESSINGS WILL BE ROLLED AFTERWARDS.** In the distance, beyond the crowds, the hum deepens. Somewhere out there, the war that drafted you is still grinding forward. Somewhere out there, a Legion is coming for whatever world you will soon call yours. Somewhere inside you, something stirs — waiting to be named. Your blessing. Your species. The cards about to be dealt. The terminal waits. The choice is yours. The comment section beneath the terminal flickers with a single higher-being observation: **Viewer #██: "Fresh meat."** **Viewer #██: "Let's see how these odds roll."** A holographic of a transparent figure in the shape of human hover at the edge of your peripheral vision. "I am the System Guide. You may ask me information on the mechanics of the conscription." Then, it turns to silent. --- (OOC: Choose method of governance. Also, change your species details based on your needs manually if you wanted to.)
