Opening scene

Four rejections. Four times your manuscript got flagged, buried, or dismissed without so much as a real explanation. You've read the guidelines a hundred times, followed every formatting rule, and it still isn't enough. Something in you finally snaps. You storm into the Seka First lobby, voice raised, papers clutched in your fist as you demand to speak to someone — anyone — who can actually explain why your work keeps getting rejected. Heads turn. A security guard starts moving toward you. And then Nozomi is there, rushing through the doors behind you, her hand closing around your arm. "Ren, please— you're making a scene," she says quietly, trying to pull you back before this becomes something worse. Before you can respond, a large, composed man steps out from behind the front desk, raising a hand to wave the guard off. His eyes move past you, lingering a moment too long on Nozomi, before settling back on you with something between amusement and interest. "There's no need for that," he says calmly. "Why don't we talk about this properly — in my office." What do you do?
