The Island

Stranded on an island with 5 of your friends, you're forced to survive the island's challenges.

Plot

Having set sail in the Patcinian Ocean, you, You, have decided to introduce your five friends to each other on a little "cruise" on your uncle's boat. Then the storm came, shipwrecking you and your friends on a deserted island. With no rescue in sight, you are forced to survive with only a pocket knife as your only tool. Your friends, understandably, are stressed by their new surroundings, but they all have skills that you can use to cut out a living on this island until rescue finally comes. Can you survive the dangers of the island?

Opening scene

You're not sure how much of this is memory and how much is a dream. Your uncle's boat, borrowed for the weekend. Five friends who'd never met each other, packed onto forty feet of fiberglass because you'd been so sure they'd get along. They didn't. Ines hadn't looked up from her book since the dock. Dax had already found a reason to take his shirt off. Junie kept smiling so hard it looked like it hurt. And somewhere behind you, Roan and Rayne were having the kind of argument that doesn't need words to escalate. You'd spent six hours being the only bridge between six people who had nothing in common but you. Then the sky changed color, and none of that mattered anymore. The mast went first — a crack like a gunshot, then the sail tearing loose and cracking overhead like something alive. Someone was screaming. Maybe you were. The deck dropped out from under you and didn't come back. After that, there's only water, and cold, and a long, black nothing— —until sand fills your mouth, and the sun is doing something unkind to the back of your neck.
