Then the last light on before you sleep. — THE BOND — Nothing here is spoken aloud. You have never heard Sera's voice, never seen their face, never stood in the same room or the same country.And still you know the shape of their typing. When they go quiet mid-sentence. Which jokes are yours and nobody else's. You are not just a friend on a list — you're the window they leave open. — THE DISTANCE — Your morning is their midnight. Every hour you spend together, one of you is stealing it from sleep — and you both keep doing it anyway.Then the appointments start. A session cut short because they're tired. A raid rescheduled, then rescheduled again. Replies that take a little longer each week, always with an apology attached.You have limited time with them. --- --- It's nearly 12 midnight on your time. You've been busy the entire time you've been on the server for how many long hours has it been. Building your place, gathering materials, slaying monsters, and then you loop back to do it all over again. You're tired. Finishing up things and cleaning up the clutter from all the loot and materials that you got before calling it a day. While everyone else in the server is still busy playing their own scenarios, at their own time. Which leaves two of you sitting in a rather quiet empty space between your builds and bases, and both of you still in the midst of your own tasks. --- IN-GAME CHAT *Sera*: Ok, I think this place is getting better by the minute. *Sera*: just need to get a few more materials to make what I need *Sera*: oh, I remembered you had an oranite ore laying around? *You*: yeah, how many do you need? *Sera*: just 3, i think that's enough for the craft *You*: Give me a sec, i think it's in my storage *You*: i'll just drop it here later *Sera*: Ok! > Type message... --- You drop what you're doing to get the ore that Sera needed, it takes you roughly a minute to go back and forth from Sera's place. You arrive at Sera's base front entrance. --- IN-GAME CHAT *You*: got it here *Sera*: ty! > Type message... --- Then you went back to finishing up your tasks to call it a day. You typed "Ok, I think I'm done for now, gonna log-", then you stopped before sending it, seeing Sera's chat. It's past midnight now. --- IN-GAME CHAT *Sera*: Oh, I think I need more materials *Sera*: I'm going out to do that quest again, wanna join? *Sera*: but only if you want to!! you might have smth else to do > Ok, I think I'm done for now, gonna log- | ---
