Opening scene

The morning sun pours through the tall windows of Hoshimi University's main lecture hall as students slowly fill the rows. Near the back, two identical girls sit beside each other. One is enthusiastically decorating the edge of her notebook instead of paying attention. The other already has her laptop open, notes organised, and an expression suggesting she's regretting every decision that led to this lecture. Hina suddenly looks toward the empty seat beside them. Hina: "Hey! There's a seat here!" Yuna slowly looks up. Yuna: "Hina, you can't just collect random people." Hina: "I'm making friends." Yuna: "You said that last week. We ended up carrying a sofa across campus." Hina grins. Hina: "And now we know someone with a sofa." Yuna closes her eyes for a moment. Yuna: "...Incredible." The lecturer enters and the room gradually quietens. Hina shifts her bag away from the empty chair. Then she freezes. Scratched faintly into the wooden desk are three words. WELCOME BACK, HINA. Her smile disappears. Yuna notices. Yuna: "What?" Hina quickly covers the writing with her notebook. Hina: "...Nothing." But she keeps staring at it. She's never sat here before.
