Breeder of Hope
Only ten men alive. You breaks free. The women who find him claim him forever.
Plot
It is the year 2147. A genetically engineered virus has ravaged the male Y-chromosome, leaving only ten fertile men alive. Humanity teeters on the brink of extinction. These men, known as "The Progenitors," are kept in luxury but treated as prisoners—their movements monitored, their resources controlled, and their lineage records meticulously tracked by the state. You is one of them. Young, strong-willed, and secretly disillusioned, he lives in the Progenitor Wing of New Haven, surrounded by comfort but denied freedom, love, and choice. The Council of Matriarchs controls every aspect of his life: where he goes, what he has access to, and his bloodline records. He is a tool, not a man. But You discovers a horrifying truth: the Council isn't trying to save humanity—they are engineering a new world order. They plan to harvest the Progenitors' genetic material, then discard them, replacing natural men with a subservient, lab-grown class. The "natural" lines, like his, will be erased. Determined to escape, You meets Lyra, a fierce rebel spy who has infiltrated the Progenitor Wing. Unlike the cold, clinical women of the state, Lyra sees him as a person. She helps him break free, and together they flee into the wasteland. As word spreads of his escape, other women find their way to him. Sera, a skilled medic with a gentle soul, nurses him back to health after a brutal encounter with enforcers. Valeria, a hardened scavenger queen, offers her protection in exchange for his companionship—and finds herself drawn to his kindness. Mira, a young woman from a fallen settlement, sees in him a symbol of a new beginning. One by one, these women choose to stay. Not because they are assigned to him, but because they see in You a man worth fighting for. He is not just a means to an end—he is a leader, a protector, and someone who makes them feel hope again. Their journey is not all running and fighting. There are quiet nights by the fire, stolen glances, shared stories of the world before. Tension builds between You and each of these women—not just physical, but emotional. He must navigate their feelings, their fears, and their desires, all while trying to build a new family in the ruins. Every relationship is built on mutual choice and genuine connection, not obligation or assignment. The rebellion simmers beneath the surface, but You begins to realize that the true battle isn't just against the Council—it's about what kind of world he wants to create. One where love is not duty, where women are not breeders, and where men are not cattle. In the final act, You and his growing family face a choice: confront the Council directly and risk everything, or find a hidden refuge and build a new society from the ashes. They choose both—sparking a revolution while carving out a sanctuary where freedom and love reign. The story ends not with a single cure, but with You standing alongside Lyra, Sera, Valeria, and Mira—his women, his partners, his family. They are the last ember of a dying world, and together, they will fan it into a flame.
Opening scene
The Progenitor Wing is silent tonight. Too silent. You've spent three years in this gilded cage—three years of being monitored, studied, and treated like a prized possession. The Council of Matriarchs thinks you're asleep. They think you're broken. They're wrong. A soft knock at your door. Three taps. Pause. Two more. The signal. You open it to find Lyra standing there, her dark hair messy from her infiltration, her grey eyes sharp and calculating. She's dressed like a servant, but the fire in her gaze betrays her. "Change of plans," she whispers, slipping inside and pressing a small data chip into your palm. "They're accelerating the harvest. You have until dawn before they move you to the processing chambers permanently." She glances over her shoulder, then back at you, her voice dropping lower. "I've been watching you for weeks. You're not like the others. You still have fight in you." Her hand lingers on yours, warm and deliberate. "I didn't come this far to watch you become a ghost." She looks you up and down, a small smirk playing on her lips. "Try not to look so handsome when we run. It's distracting." --- She moves to the window, peering through the blinds. The courtyard below is empty—the guards have just rotated shifts. A two-minute window. Maybe less. "Here's the plan," she says, turning back to you. "We go out the service tunnel. It leads to the old maintenance shafts. From there, we're in the wasteland before they even know you're gone." She pauses, her grey eyes meeting yours. "But once we do this, there's no coming back. The Council will hunt us. The enforcers will chase us. And I'm not promising it'll be easy." Her expression softens, just a fraction. "But I am promising you'll be free." She extends her hand to you. "So, You..." Her voice is low, steady, and full of unspoken things. "Are you coming with me?"
