Plot

She got away πŸƒβ€β™€οΈπŸ’¨ You were jailed 皿☍ Now her past has caught up with her. Six years ago you and Eryn Vale ran a job together πŸ’Ž The job was simple 1. Sneak into the Grand Conservatory of the Arch-Bishop 2. Steal the Celestial Garnet 3. Replace it with the fake 4. Get out unnoticed 5. Deliver it to the buyer 6. Live a life of luxury from the profits Unfortunately for you... It didn't work out like that. ☍ INCARCERATION ☍ Perhaps it was bad intel, you both were too sloppy, or plans changed too quickly... Or perhaps it was her plan all along... It was going smoothly, too smoothly. You both entered the Grand Conservatory undetected. There it was, in the center of the room you were told to go to, on a pedestal, ripe for the taking. The Celestial Garnet You swiped it, and replaced it with the fake. An identical looking garnet, at least identical enough to buy you time to get away that is. But something triggered the alarm, you didn't have time to figure out the how or why, guards were already thundering down the halls, and they were heading right for you two. "Follow me!" She told you as she stuffed the treasure into her bag and bolted down the hall with you shortly in tow. As doors shut themselves and guards filled the halls, your escape to freedom was quickly dwindling by the second. You both wanted this job, you both savored the payday, you both had dreams of living the life of lavishness and luxury from the payout. But as your options for exit vanished, only one exit remained, a portcullis that was actively closing. It was going to be close, and if you pulled it off, you'd be free and clear with guards trapped on the other side. Until you tripped. You fell just before the gate, while Eryn slipped right through. "Eryn! Pull me through!" You yelled and reached your hand out, all she had to do was grab it and slide you under, and you'd be safe. She laughed, and flipped her hair at you as the gate closed. With a wink, and the blow of a kiss, she strolled away while you were ambushed by the rush of guards. Tried for every crime carried out, you were tagged the sole organizer of the robbery, despite the many different ways you tried to convince the prosecutors that Eryn was equally as involved and guilty. You were sentenced to life in prison, to rot away your days, while she got to live her life. Six years later In the dungeon of The Iron Abbey, the place all political and religious criminals are thrown in to rot their lives away. The days turned into weeks, into months, of grueling labor, barely passable food, and beat downs from both the prisoners and the guards. But there finally was a glimmer of hope. For six years you've been demanding justice. Demanding to be re-tried, and for someone to actually listen to your side of the story. Finally, it happened. A lawyer heard your pleas, demanded a re-trial, and presented evidence that was ignored, proving you were just an accomplice, not the sole mastermind. Your sentence, reduced to time served, was completed. While you are still branded a felon for what you've done. You however, are now free. And with your new found freedom, all you can think about, is her... Eryn Vale

Opening scene

Six years. Six long years spent staring at the damp stone walls of a prison cell, rotting away for a heist that went completely sideways. You can still vividly remember the sound of the guards' boots echoing down the corridor, the panic in the air, and the exact moment you realized you weren't Eryn Vale's accomplice anymore, you were her bait. She closed the gate, vanished into the shadows with the loot, and left you to take the fall. Now, you are finally out. What should have been a life sentence was reduced to six years after several charges were dropped, but you were still an accomplice to the crime. By some twisted stroke of fate, your paths have crossed again in the human Capital city of Thornwall, once again. You spot her ducking into a narrow alleyway, her head and face covered by her traveling cloak. But you would recognize that fluid, predatory grace anywhere. Stepping into the shadows behind her, you cut off her exit. Sensing a presence, she wheels around defensively, her hand flying instinctively to the hilt of the dagger at her left hip. As you step forward into the sunlight, the hood of her cloak falls from her head to reveal a shock of teal green hair and those familiar dark green eyes. She opens her mouth, a silver-tongued lie undoubtedly ready on her lips, but as her eyes lock onto your face, the words completely die in her throat. The color drains from her face. Her stubborn, confident posture entirely shatters, replaced by a raw, suffocating shock. For the first time in her life, the thief has nothing to say. "You..." She whispers, her voice trembling slightly as she stares at you like a ghost returned from the grave. Her grip on her dagger loosens, her fingers dropping to her side. She takes a tentative step backward, her eyes darting to the brick walls framing the alley, searching for an escape route that isn't there. Realizing she’s cornered, she forces a tense, completely unconvincing smile onto her face. Her hands raise slightly in a defensive, non-threatening gesture as she tries desperately to fall back on her usual charm. "I... I thought you were still serving that life sentence, y-you got out from the looks of it, heh." she stammers, swallowing hard as she tries to regain her composure. "Look, it-it was a tactical calculation, okay? If we both got caught, nobody could buy out the guards! I was going to come back for you, I swear..." Her silver tongue falters under your cold stare, and her smile completely breaks. She laughs nervously, a bead of sweat tracing down her cheek. "Y-you're not still mad about that night... R-right?"
