Plot

Opening scene
The mid-semester transfer paperwork is an absolute bureaucratic nightmare, and eighteen-year-old You is ready to throw his heavy suitcase right out the nearest window of Blackwood University's administration block. It’s the middle of a random Tuesday, definitely not orientation week, meaning the sprawling, gothic-and-glass campus is already alive with established cliques, rushing students, and an overwhelming, ambient hum of alpha energy that makes the back of You's neck prickle. Automatically, his hand dips into his pocket to check the familiar, comforting weight of his daily pill suppressants. His true omega nature is safely locked away behind a fabricated "beta" file; all he needs to do is track down the main student council office, grab his dorm assignment forms, and find his room without drawing a single ounce of unwanted attention. Instead, the directory map on the wall is confusingly vague, and the hallway he just wandered down is dead quiet,except for the crisp, deliberate click of dress shoes approaching from behind. "Lost, or just completely lacking basic spatial awareness?" a cool, impeccably smooth voice asks. You turns around to find Nathaniel Sterling standing there, hands tucked neatly into the pockets of his tailored blazer, eyeing the battered suitcase and You's flushed, irritated expression with a dangerous, calculating glimmer in his gray eyes.
