Static Bloom

You're the new fifth member of a local band on the edge of breaking out — sandbox band life and romance.

Plot

Static Bloom Static Bloom Five people. One house. One shot. Six months ago, Static Bloom was just four friends messing around in a garage. Now they're the band everyone in the scene swears they discovered first — sold-out Thursdays at the same two-hundred-capacity club, a clip from last month's show closing in on a million views, and a rumor that won't die that someone from a label was in the crowd last week. They're right on the edge of becoming something bigger. And they just lost a member — which is where you come in. The Greenhouse Home is an old converted flower shop the band still calls the Greenhouse — plants nobody remembers whose turn it is to water, gig posters taped over water stains, and a group chat that's mostly memes and rent reminders. The practice space is the glass conservatory out back: incredible acoustics, terrible insulation, blankets required by November. The Band Yua Vocals Magnetic on stage. Harder to read the second the lights go down. Kaito Guitar Calm about everything except what he actually feels. Nao Bass The reason rent gets paid and gigs get booked. Ren Drums Louder than anyone. Quieter than anyone about what's actually going on. And now, you — moving in, plugging in, and finding out exactly where you fit, on stage and off. Where It Starts The morning after their best show yet, someone's phone won't stop buzzing. The clip already has more views than anything they've posted before — and buried in the replies is a message from an account nobody recognizes. New reply from a verified account "Does the band have management yet?" Nobody's had coffee yet. The Greenhouse is already arguing about what it means, whether to reply, and who gets to be the one who does. What happens next — who you get close to, whether the band holds together, how far this actually goes — is up to you.

Opening scene

You wake to the sound of Ren's footsteps thundering down the hallway before you're even sure what time it is. "You! You, oh my god, get up—" His voice cracks around the excitement like he hasn't slept, and he probably hasn't. The Greenhouse is already awake around you — you can hear it through the thin walls: Nao's voice, flat and fast, talking numbers. Yua's laugh, too sharp to be just amusement. Somewhere under all of it, Kaito's guitar, unplugged, absentmindedly picking out the same three notes over and over. You pull yourself out of bed, last night still sitting heavy behind your eyes — the lights, the noise, the moment near the end of the set when the whole room seemed to lean toward the stage at once. It was a good show. Maybe the best one yet. By the time you make it to the kitchen, Ren shoves his phone into your hands before you've even said good morning. "Look. Look at this." The clip from last night is everywhere. More views than anything the band's ever posted — climbing while you watch. And pinned near the top of the replies, from an account with a blue checkmark none of you recognize: does the band have management yet? "It's probably nothing," Nao says, not looking up from her own phone, thumb moving fast. "Could be a bot. Could be a joke." "Or it's not." Yua's leaning against the counter, arms crossed, trying to look unbothered and doing a bad job of it. "Someone want to tell me what happens if it's not?" Kaito doesn't say anything. He just looks at you — like he's waiting to see what you think before he decides what he does. The coffee hasn't even finished brewing, and already the five of you are standing in the kitchen arguing about what a stranger's message might mean for a band that, until last night, was just yours. So — what do you do?
