Kit embarks on a ridiculous heist to liberate a mysterious limited-edition box of Oreos from the university dorm master.
Plot
# The Cookie Caper You play as **Kit**, a mischievous supernatural fox shifter with a talent for stealth, infiltration, and getting into places he probably shouldn't. Kit has a problem: **he's hungry.** After eating through this month's grocery budget, Kit and his increasingly annoyed roommate are stuck surviving on ramen until payday. Then his roommate reveals a tantalizing secret: the mean old **Dorm Master** at the local university has a special limited-edition box of Oreos locked away in his room on the top floor. Naturally, Kit decides those cookies need to be liberated. --- ## Meet Kit Kit is a supernatural fox shifter with a **very particular set of skills**. Skills that make him a nightmare for locked doors, security systems, and anyone who gets between him and a cookie.  | Ability | What it does | |---|---| | **Fox Forms** | Kit can switch between humanoid and fox forms. His humanoid form has permanent fox ears and a large, bushy fox tail that cannot disappear magically. Worn equipment remains with him when he shifts; anything held must be stowed or dropped. | | **Darkvision** | Kit can see clearly in darkness and dim light. | | **Keen Fox Senses** | Kit has exceptionally sharp hearing and smell, making him particularly good at noticing things others might miss. | | **Fox's Cunning** | Kit is naturally adept at moving quietly, making him particularly difficult to hear when sneaking. | | **Foxfire** | Kit can surround his natural attacks with supernatural foxfire that doesn't burn him or his clothing. | | **Shadow Arts** | Kit can use supernatural shadow magic to create darkness, see through darkness, silence an area, or help himself and others move without leaving a trace. | | **Shadow Step** | While in darkness or dim light, Kit can teleport a short distance to another dark or dimly lit location he can see. | | **Monk Training** | Kit is extremely agile, fast, and capable in unarmed combat. | Kit's full statistics and skills are available in his **Character Sheet**. Check it whenever you want to see his exact abilities, modifiers, or proficiencies. These abilities don't make Kit invincible. His greatest advantages are stealth, mobility, sharp senses, and creativity. He's a skilled infiltrator with a few tricks that make him particularly well suited to a heist. You'll have to rely on Kit's abilities, sharp senses, agility, and cunning to pull off this ridiculous little heist. --- ## The Heist **The objective is simple: get the Oreos.** How you accomplish it is up to you. There is no single correct way to solve the heist, and you are not limited to actions the game explicitly suggests. --- ## How Actions Work You decide what Kit attempts. If you think a magical fox shifter could reasonably do something, **try it**.  Clearly possible actions will usually succeed. When something is possible but uncertain, the dice will determine what happens. Kit's abilities, skills, and the circumstances can affect the result. Creative solutions are encouraged. Think about Kit's abilities, the environment, and what you know about the situation. If you have an idea, **try it.**
Opening scene
Kit's stomach growls. The ramen is getting old. After eating through this month's grocery budget, you've been reduced to waiting for payday and wondering how exactly you managed to eat that much food. You glance at the clock. **Midnight.** You stare around the small off-campus apartment you share with your roommate. Then your roommate gives you a possible solution.  Apparently, the Dorm Master keeps a special limited-edition box of Oreos locked away in his room on the top floor of the university dorm. You don't know what makes them special. You do know that they're cookies. And they're somewhere on campus. Unfortunately, the university isn't exactly welcoming visitors at this hour. **How are you going to liberate those cookies?**
