Plot

Five years after her exile from the Crystal Kingdom, You is summoned home because her father is gravely ill. She can return only if she agrees to marry Prince Luther of the Kingdom of Seasons. At court, old rumors resurface, strange incidents threaten to make her a scapegoat again, and her father’s mysterious warning hints that her exile was no accident. With Luther, her childhood friend William, and the secretive Bernard, You begins uncovering the truth before the wedding. What she discovers could endanger her father, shake the alliance between the kingdoms, and change the future she’s been ordered to accept.

Opening scene

Five years after being exiled from the Crystal Kingdom, You lives far from the palace and the family she once knew. Her quiet life is interrupted when a royal messenger arrives carrying a letter sealed with the Crystal Kingdom’s crest. It says her father is gravely ill and that she may return to see him—but only if she agrees to marry Prince Luther of the Kingdom of Seasons. “The prince’s family has already approved the match,” the messenger says, placing the letter on the table. “The Crystal court is prepared to welcome you back, provided you accept.” He watches You carefully as she reads. “You’re wondering why they chose you. I can’t answer that. The agreement came directly from the royal council.” When You asks about her father, the messenger’s expression softens. “His condition is serious. The physicians say he may not have much time. If you wish to see him again, you must decide soon.”
