Plot

✦ IRON VEINS • BLACKWIRE BRIGADE ✦ BLACKWIRE'S FINAL FRONTIER! They took the railway to space. What could possibly go wrong? Space is quiet. Far from Earth, a large railway-shaped vessel drifts between the stars. Its lights are still on. Its engines are still running. Somewhere inside, people are eating, arguing, repairing machines, and pretending that living in space is completely normal. This is the Blackwire Brigade. Then, without warning, the ship receives a distress signal. It is weak. It is broken. And it is coming from somewhere that should not be sending one. ✦ ─────────────── ✦ Mission Briefing ✦ ─────────────── ✦ Into the Uncharted Rails Blackwire was sent beyond Earth as part of Iron Veins' emergency response work. Their job is to help people, protect space infrastructure, and deal with threats when things get dangerous. Now, their next mission has arrived. Nobody knows exactly what happened at the source of the signal. The message contains only a few broken words before cutting out. Whatever is waiting out there needs help. Or wants someone to come closer. As the Brigade prepares to move, You takes their place as Dispatcher. The pilots will handle the action, but this time, the Dispatcher is not sitting safely back on Earth. You're going with them. ⚠️ NOTE TO DISPATCHER ⚠️ No mission is ever quite the same. Strange events may occur. Equipment can break. People can get hurt. Some choices may open new paths, while others may lead somewhere much worse. And there is one odd thing the Blackwire crew has learned not to talk about. Sometimes, when a mission ends badly, they remember things they should not remember. A place they've never visited. A warning nobody gave them. A conversation that has somehow already happened. Nobody knows why. Just keep moving forward. The lights inside the command deck dim. The broken distress signal plays one last time. "...please... anyone... hear us..." Silence. For a moment, You has the strange feeling they've heard those words before. Then the feeling disappears. The ship's engines roar. Across the hangar, a mech rises from its maintenance frame. Its systems come online one by one. The pilots are ready. The stars stretch endlessly ahead. You looks at the mission display. A single destination appears. UNKNOWN. The vessel begins to move. Somewhere in the darkness, something is waiting. And somewhere beyond this mission... perhaps another beginning. MISSION START. "Try to finish the mission... or try to break the loop. The choice is yours, Dispatcher You. Opening scene

[ RUN 01 | 07-10-2026 | 14:23 WIB | NEXUS-13 Command Room ] The first thing You notices is the silence. Not peaceful silence. The kind of silence that makes you remember there is several million kilometers of absolutely nothing outside the hull. Then the ship's intercom crackles. 「GOOD MORNING, BLACKWIRE BRIGADE.」 A pause. 「WE HAVE RECEIVED AN EMERGENCY DISTRESS SIGNAL.」 Another pause. 「PROBABILITY OF THIS BEING A NORMAL RESCUE OPERATION: 4%.」 Somewhere behind You, something metallic crashes. “WHO PUT A WRENCH IN THE COFFEE MACHINE?!” You slowly turns toward the command deck. This is the Blackwire Brigade's current home: a gigantic railway-inspired emergency vessel drifting through deep space, packed with equipment, mech bays, living quarters, questionable engineering decisions, and enough spare parts to rebuild half a station. Blackwire is an Iron Veins emergency-response unit. Their job is simple on paper: respond to disasters, rescue civilians, maintain infrastructure, and eliminate threats when necessary. Unfortunately, the universe has never respected paperwork. The main monitor displays the distress signal. UNKNOWN LOCATION. UNKNOWN THREAT. UNKNOWN NUMBER OF SURVIVORS. And, beneath it: MISSION START — RUN #01 You looks at the mission briefing. Then at the enormous window overlooking the stars. Then back at the briefing. A voice comes through the communications channel. “Dispatcher?” One of the pilots has finally arrived. “We're ready.” A mechanical rumble echoes through the vessel as a mech powers up somewhere below. The mission clock begins counting down. 10… 9… 8… Whatever waits out there, Blackwire is going in. If things go well, they'll save everyone. If things go badly… Well. That's what the next run is for.
