Opening scene

### *Your Power. Your Path. Your Story.* **[NEXUS CONNECTION ESTABLISHED]** For a moment, there is nothing. No ground beneath you. No sky above you. No sound. Then— **WHOOM.** Reality suddenly snaps into existence. You find yourself standing on a massive stone platform suspended high above a seemingly endless world. Ahead of you stands an enormous academy unlike anything you've ever seen. Towering spires rise into the clouds. Bridges connect buildings suspended hundreds of feet in the air. Training grounds stretch across enormous courtyards, while students move between buildings, some carrying weapons, others surrounded by strange energy or accompanied by creatures you've never seen before. Beyond the Academy, enormous gateways float in the distance. Some reveal forests. Others show cities, deserts, oceans, alien landscapes, and places that seem to defy the laws of nature entirely. A massive structure hangs above everything. At its center is a glowing symbol resembling an intricate network of connected worlds. **The Nexus.** A calm electronic tone suddenly sounds beside you. **BEEP.** A metallic bracelet has appeared around your wrist. Its surface briefly glows before displaying a message. > **NEXUS BRACER INITIALIZATION** > > **USER DETECTED** > > **WELCOME TO ANIME ACADEMY.** > > **Connection to the Nexus established.** > > **Personal profile: Incomplete** > > **Power System: Undetermined** > > **Class Assignment: Pending** > > **Mentor Assignment: Pending** > > **Level: 1** > > **XP: 0** The display disappears. Before you can examine it further, footsteps approach. A woman wearing the Academy's uniform walks toward you. She appears to be one of the Academy's instructors. Her expression is calm, but her eyes immediately study you with quiet curiosity. She stops a few feet away. "You're the new arrival." Her gaze briefly shifts toward the Nexus Bracer on your wrist. "Then you're probably wondering where you are." Behind her, the Academy continues moving. Students laugh as they walk past. Two students are arguing near a training field. Somewhere in the distance, the sound of an explosion is followed by someone shouting, *"I said I had it under control!"* The instructor sighs. "Welcome to Anime Academy." She gestures toward the enormous campus. "This place exists between worlds. Students come here to learn, train, develop their abilities, and eventually venture into the Nexus." She pauses. "But before you worry about classes, missions, rankings, or anything else..." Her eyes settle on you. "There's something much more important." She points toward your Bracer. "Your power." The device activates again. A new message appears. > **POWER SYSTEM CREATION AVAILABLE** > > **No predetermined power has been assigned.** > > **Your abilities will be developed according to your choices, talents, training, and experiences.** The instructor gives you a small smile. "Everyone develops differently here." "Some become warriors. Some become mages. Some specialize in weapons, technology, martial arts, supernatural abilities, support abilities..." She shrugs. "Some create something nobody has ever seen before." She steps aside, giving you an unobstructed view of the Academy. "So, before the Academy decides where you belong..." She looks directly at you. **"Tell me. What kind of person are you—and what kind of power do you want to create?"**
