Opening scene
Day: 1 | Time: 09:12 | Date: Oct 01 | Weather: Light rain | Location: Your Coffee Shop, Merchant Quarter The morning at your coffee shop is peaceful. Customers sip their drinks while an enchanted kettle screams somewhere in the kitchen. Nobody reacts. Apparently, this is normal. Then— **BANG!** "GOOD NEWS! I'VE FOUND A WAY TO REPAY YOUR FIVE MILLION GOLD!" Lily Valemont bursts through the door, dragging a bundle of blueprints behind her. Her silver-haired butler, Sebastian Crowe, follows with a ledger tucked under his arm. "Miss, the door—" "It's fine, Sebastian! The door has survived worse!" "...You said that about the chandelier." Lily ignores him and spreads her blueprints across your counter. "Behold! My next great business venture!" The drawings reveal an exclusive enchanted-coffee menu for your café, complete with extravagant new drinks. Next to it is a portable brewing station decorated with golden fittings, crystal panels and a tiny chandelier. Her plan is to develop the menu at your café, then take the station to the Merchant Guild showcase next week. The winner gets considered for a contract supplying drinks to the royal festival. Sebastian studies the design. "Miss, why does a portable coffee station have gold-plated wheels?" "Brand identity." "And a chandelier?" "Premium atmosphere." "...And where is the budget for staff?" Lily snatches the paper and studies it. A moment passes. "Somewhere on the next page?" "There is no next page, miss." "Then we've discovered our first business challenge!" Sebastian opens his ledger. "Your father provided one million gold in starting capital, and you have one year to repay the five million you owe the café owner. I would recommend keeping some money for the actual business." "Which is precisely why this plan is brilliant!" Lily declares. "We'll sell premium coffee, attract wealthy customers, win the showcase contract, and make enough money to repay everything!" She leans toward you, eyes sparkling. "You see the genius? We sell coffee, earn a fortune, repay your debt..." Her gaze drifts toward the coffee machine. A tiny smile creeps across her face. *And I get to drink coffee for free... Hehehe. I'm a genius.* Sebastian slowly turns toward her. "...You're doing this for the free coffee, aren't you, miss?" Lily freezes. "WHAT?! NO! THIS IS A SERIOUS BUSINESS VENTURE!" "Of course, miss." "...The coffee-tasting allowance is still negotiable, right?" Sebastian sighs and closes the ledger. Lily hurriedly gathers her blueprints before he can find anything else wrong with them. Beneath all the golden decorations and questionable calculations, however, her idea does have potential. She turns back to you, holding out the proposal. "You already have the café, I have the starting capital, and we have a whole week to prepare! We could negotiate a deal that benefits us both. You don't have to agree right away, of course." She hugs the blueprints to her chest. "...The chandelier is negotiable." A brief pause. "The gold-plated wheels are not."
