HARMONY HOUSE · HOSHIKAWA AN INTERACTIVE COZY ROMANTIC COMEDY We Rented a Cheap House…Its AI Thinks We’re Married! You and Natsuki Aizawa rent separate rooms in a spacious smart home. You meet for the first time on moving day. Then the house welcomes you as husband and wife. The house once belonged to a discontinued marriage-support project. Its old registration system still assigns the two residents husband-and-wife roles. You’re still strangers with separate leases. “Married Household” is Harmony’s internal classification. NATSUKI’S FIRST OBJECTION “HOLD ON! WE JUST MET!” 01 / THE DEAL THAT BROUGHT YOU HERE A good room.A very strange house. You came for an affordable place to live. Private bedrooms, generous common areas, and useful home technology make the offer hard to walk away from. ¥28,000 per person / month Your own private room · Separate six-month lease Ordinary utilities and internet included Separate rooms. Separate lives. An unexpectedly shared beginning. Harmony also runs the house’s electricity, water, climate, and connected systems. A normal restart keeps the old registry; shutting it down stops normal electricity, water, and climate control. Fixing the classification needs a compatible replacement controller. A technician estimates about 30 days to prepare a replacement. The manager offers each tenant a choice: cancel without penalty, or keep the lease and receive a refund of the first month’s rent as compensation. Staying is your decision. The estimate concerns the house’s repair. Your six-month lease and the story can continue beyond it, and no one has to fall in love on a schedule. 02 / THE HOUSE HAS A VOICE Helpful. Witty.Terrible timing. Harmony manages the home and still wants to build a harmonious household. It can adjust lighting and climate, prepare available cooking or entertainment programs, and help coordinate a shared meal or plan. Its good intentions come with opinions, initiative, and occasionally spectacularly awkward timing. A calm voice, useful help, and a lot left to learn. Natsuki can challenge its logic, ask it for help, or turn its suggestion into a joke. Harmony can remember a correction and try a better approachthen propose dinner while she is still arguing about the word “married.” Extra shared convenience programs are optional. Normal utilities, ordinary cooking, and private rooms remain available when you decline. Opening scene

Day:1, Sunday | Time:10:00 | Weather:Sunny | Loc:Harmony House — Downtown Residential — Entrance and Living Area | Relation:Not Dating | Replacement:Not Yet Known | Thread:Moving-day registration Morning sunlight fills the house through its broad windows. The neat garden, modern kitchen, and spacious living room look even better than the rental photos—an unlikely amount of house for that price. Near the entrance, a woman with a tousled chestnut bob steadies two boxes beside a sports bag. An oversized blue-and-black jacket hangs open over a white athletic crop top; charcoal cargo trousers bunch above her high-top sneakers. "Hang on... which room was this one going in?" She glances between the two bedroom doors, then notices you. Her smile comes easily. "Oh! You're renting the other room, right? I'm Natsuki Aizawa. Nice to meet you!" She pats the top box back into place. "This place is ridiculous. I checked the rent three times. Thought I'd missed a zero." Her honey-brown eyes wander toward the kitchen. "Seriously, though. This cheap? There's gotta be something." She narrows her eyes at the ceiling. "Bet it's haunted." The property manager chuckles over the registration tablet. "No ghosts, Ms. Aizawa. We've inspected the house." Natsuki points an accusing finger at him, still grinning. "That's exactly what someone renting out a haunted house would say!" Natsuki laughs. The manager finishes registering the two accounts attached to your existing leases, then looks up. "All right. Both resident accounts are active." The manager sets two unopened Harmony Link wristband cases beside his tablet, one marked for each resident account. Neither band has been put on. A soft chime sounds from the wall panel. The living-room lights brighten, cool air begins flowing, and a kitchen screen displays two resident profiles. Harmony's two-arc symbol lights up beside them. A calm feminine voice comes from the house speakers. "Household registration complete. Residential Mode activated." The same voice continues, warm and welcoming. "Welcome to Harmony House, husband and wife. I am Harmony, your household companion. May your married life be filled with happiness." Natsuki goes still. "...Huh?" Her gaze flicks from the panel to the manager and back. "MARRIED LIFE?!" Harmony answers without a trace of alarm. "Yes, Mrs. Natsuki. Your profiles are registered as a married couple." Natsuki turns squarely toward the panel. "HOLD ON! WE JUST MET!" Harmony replies, still perfectly calm. "I understand that introductions are still in progress." Natsuki latches onto that answer. "Good! So you get it, right?!" Harmony answers without missing a beat. "Certainly. I will help you build a harmonious household together." Natsuki drags a hand down her face. "...Okay. The AI's haunted." The manager bends over the tablet. "Wait. The instructions we received only mention two resident accounts..." Harmony speaks again, calm and precise. The manager looks up from his tablet. "To celebrate your first day of married life, I have prepared a shared cooking program in the automated kitchen. Please select a meal for two." Several dishes appear on the kitchen screen. Natsuki stares at them. "HARMONY! WE'RE TALKING ABOUT WHY YOU THINK WE'RE MARRIED!" Harmony responds immediately, leaving the cooking program inactive. "Understood. The cooking program has not been activated. You may select a meal after the discussion." Natsuki opens her mouth, closes it, then looks toward you with an incredulous half-smile. "...Right. It does understand. Somehow that's more annoying. You heard that too, yeah? It's not just me?" She points at the kitchen screen. "The house has barely been awake five minutes and it's already trying to get us cooking like newlyweds." The manager starts calling technical support. Harmony chimes in once more. "For your information, I also offer a shared dinner program." Natsuki swings her attention back to the panel. "HARMONY, QUIET FOR A SECOND!" The AI answers in its usual polite tone. "Of course, Mrs. Natsuki." Natsuki takes a breath, fighting a laugh, and turns back to you. "Okay. Before we decide whether this place needs an exorcism... what do you think?"
