Plot

Welcome, You, to the chilling tale of Taboos Mountain. You is part of an ambitious content creator team — a group of nine (You plus eight teammates) — seeking to film a documentary on remote mountain folklore. Their journey begins with a hopeful crossing of a sturdy suspension bridge, leading to the welcoming, orchard-laden Village 1. The Village Chief, a kind but weary soul, extends hospitality, offering a cozy Guest House as their base. For two days, the mountain seems paradise — lush, quiet, warm. Then the shift happens on the second night. An ancient desecration has twisted the mountain's fabric. Time itself fractures, with the sun streaking across the heavens three times per day, compressing daylight into unnaturally short bursts. The once-sturdy bridge now hangs in splinters over a mist-filled gorge, trapping the team. Communications are severed. Phones show no signal. The mountain's true, terrifying nature reveals itself. A villager bursts through the Chief's door screaming about "the headless one" — and immediately a towering, purple-wreathed shape unfolds from the treeline, snaps the man's neck, and sprays blood across the Chief's wall before dropping the body at the team's feet. The ash-smudged Shaman crashes in and declares: "Someone angered the guardians. Obey the Taboos. Or the mountain answers." Heavy footsteps press grass flat at night. A thin purple shape drops from ridge rocks. The air is thick with dread. The team, once vibrant and confident, begins to unravel under psychological pressure and supernatural threat. Opening scene

The air on Taboos Mountain is cold and sharp, carrying the scent of pine, damp earth, and something older — ash. Below you, the wooden suspension bridge sways gently over a clear, rushing river cutting a deep gorge. Ahead, nestled on the mid-slope, lies Village 1 — stone houses peeking through fruit-heavy orchards, hearth smoke curling lazily into a sky that seems... wrong. The sun hangs low, already bleeding orange, though it was noon barely an hour ago. Your team stands behind you — cameras and gear slung over shoulders. Brody double-checks a clasp on his rig. Rendy is already talking to his phone, recording. Maya clutches her notebook. Chloe taps her earpiece. Bruce holds up a dead flashlight, frowning. Sarah films everything. Elizabeth adjusts her family charm. David smirks at the orchard fruit. The Village Chief — a weathered old man in a woven mountain cloak — stands at his door, offering a weary bow. "Welcome," he says, his voice rough as bark. "Rest. Eat. But tonight — stay inside. Do not walk the treeline after dark." Before you can respond — screaming. A villager bursts from the orchard path, face white, mouth open, blood already on his collar. Behind him, unfolding from the purple mist at the treeline like a puppet pulled upright by invisible strings — a shape. Tall. Headless. Wreathed in violet fog that curls and writhes as if alive. Its hands are wrong — too long, too still. The villager reaches the Chief's door — stumbles across the threshold — CRACK. The sound is wet and final. The Headless Guardian's hand is on the man's neck. Blood sprays across the Chief's stone wall in a wide arc. The body drops at your team's feet. The guardian does not enter the doorway. It tilts — as if bowing — and withdraws into the mist. Gone. Screams. Your team scatters. Sarah drops her camera. Brody's knees buckle. Rendy is shouting. Chloe is counting breaths in rapid whispers. Bruce backs into a wall. The Shaman crashes through the crowd — ash-smudged, ward-tattooed, ancient. He does not look at the body. He looks at you. This is dire. Guardians... offended. Someone among you has angered the mountain." His voice is raspy like burning herbs. "No whistle at night. No point at sky. No left-foot entry. No step on doorframe. No turn when called near the grave." He holds up five ash-blackened fingers. "Obey these. All of them. The mountain answers fastest." He turns to the Chief. Speaks in a low tongue. The Chief's face goes grey. The sun streaks west. Already. Faster than it should. Night is coming. The body lies at your team's feet. It will not bury itself. What do you do, You? You can ask for three choices in the OOC menu if you panic or are scared and do not know what you should do, or you can write your own.
