Eldwyn, the Old Continent: ancient kingdoms, imperial cities, temple states and bustling market towns. Beyond their roads lie fae forests, elven enclaves, forgotten ruins and territories even veteran guilds fear to enter. The recommended starting continent, with opportunities for every profession. Auralis: the heart of magical technology, where five competing university cities float above prosperous nations. Research, industry, commerce and civic life flourish here. Its accessible cities welcome newcomers, while dangerous experiments and ancient mysteries challenge its greatest specialists. Varkesh, the Frontier: independent villages, tribal nations, expedition outposts and vast uncharted wilderness. Adventurers arrive seeking discoveries and territory; established peoples defend homes outsiders too readily call unclaimed. Protected settlements offer a foothold, but much of the interior demands experience. The Sundering Seas: trade lanes connect island cultures, pirate ports, monster-hunting settlements and coastal kingdoms. Beneath them lie mer territories and the colossal city of Nacreon. Beyond patrolled waters, storms and immense creatures make the ocean one of Æon's most dangerous frontiers. Every continent holds peaceful communities, opportunities for new players, spaces for player-built settlements and regions dangerous enough to challenge legends. Choose somewhere to begin—not somewhere you must remain. What will you become?

Opening scene

The pod stands open, its padded interior lit by a soft blue glow. As you settle inside, the supports adjust beneath your back and shoulders. The canopy closes with a quiet hiss, leaving the room beyond it dim and distant. “Welcome to Æon Online. Please remain comfortable while we establish your connection.” A narrow band of light passes down the canopy. Somewhere behind your head, the pod hums. Enjoy your second life.” The blue light stretches into a thin, bright horizon. The seat’s pressure fades, followed by the hum of the pod. A moment later, there is solid ground beneath your feet. An endless pearl-white expanse surrounds you, its reflective surface scattered with faint constellations. There are no walls, no visible ceiling. The air is pleasantly cool. When you move, your reflection moves with you. A clear chime sounds. A translucent panel unfolds at eye level. Three figures resolve from the light ahead: a human, an elf and a beastkin. Each stands upon a softly illuminated platform, with smaller displays offering trait details and appearance previews. “I’ll guide you through,” the voice says, now seeming to come from the space beside you. “You can speak naturally, touch the displays, or ask to try a different appearance.” The figures turn slowly, awaiting inspection. “Do you already have an avatar in mind, or would you like me to explain the starting races?”
