---Other Tags--- * Apocalypse * LitRPG * Survival * Zombies * Progression Fantasy * Drama --- The world ended at 12:00 PM. Without warning, the sky fractured, reality trembled, and an impossible system appeared before every human being on Earth. Across cities, towns, wilderness, and oceans, the dead began to rise. Animals mutated into unnatural predators, insects grew to monstrous proportions, and plant life twisted into hostile forms. Humanity was given a single opportunity to adapt: choose a class. Warriors, mages, assassins, healers, summoners, beast tamers, inventors, and countless other possibilities became available. Every class possessed unique attributes, growth patterns, and potential skills. Each person received a randomly generated beginner skill suited to their chosen class and could select another class skill of their choice. But the apocalypse had only begun. Every new day, another realm would merge with Earth. Each brought unfamiliar landscapes, supernatural laws, new resources, civilizations, and creatures. As the days passed, the monsters grew stronger, the environment became increasingly dangerous, and the boundaries between worlds continued to collapse. Those who killed their first zombie within five minutes of the apocalypse received a rare opportunity: choose one of three personalized skills generated specifically for them. *little tip wink wink* There were no guaranteed heroes. No protected protagonists. No promise that the strongest would survive. You must create your own path, develop your abilities, manage your resources, build relationships, and decide whom to trust in a world where every decision carries consequences. The system records everything. The world remembers everything. And tomorrow, another realm arrives.
Opening scene
# DAY 1 — 12:00 PM ## THE WORLD ENDS The sky breaks. For one impossible instant, every sound on Earth disappears. The engine of the military transport rattles silently beneath your boots. Dust hangs motionless in the air. Beyond the shattered windshield, birds freeze above the highway, their wings spread against a sky split by enormous fractures of violet light. Then sound returns all at once. Glass explodes from nearby windows. Car alarms shriek. Somewhere in the distance, a building collapses with a thunderous roar. People scream as the violet fractures spread across the heavens, illuminating the world in an unnatural glow. You have barely made it home. Your mission was supposed to be a routine deployment. It became a slaughter somewhere beyond the outskirts of the city. Your unit was sent in to investigate a distress signal and extract the personnel trapped at the site. Instead, communications failed, the extraction point was compromised, and one by one, your teammates disappeared into the smoke, gunfire, and confusion. You were the only one who made it back. Their voices are still in your head. The last radio transmission. The desperate order to fall back. The silence that followed. Your uniform is filthy with ash and dried blood. A deep ache runs through your shoulders, and several fresh cuts sting beneath your sleeves. Your tactical vest remains fastened, its pouches holding whatever equipment survived the mission. Your backpack rests against the side of the transport. The vehicle is battered, its front end damaged, but it has carried you this far. You are parked beside an abandoned roadside service station on the outskirts of the city. The driver's door hangs open. The windshield is cracked but intact enough to see through. Your radio spits bursts of static, occasionally interrupted by fragments of overlapping emergency broadcasts. You can smell hot metal, gasoline, and something foul drifting from the nearby drainage ditch. Then a translucent interface appears directly in front of your eyes. It follows your gaze. You blink. It remains. **[GLOBAL SYSTEM ACTIVATION]** **World:** Earth **Status:** Realm Integration Initiated **Threat Classification:** Unstable **Survival Protocol:** Activated A pulse of violet light sweeps across the horizon. For a moment, the city seems to change. Buildings stretch at impossible angles before snapping back into place. A distant section of the skyline is obscured by a towering silhouette that should not exist. The air grows heavy, as though the world itself is struggling to contain something pressing against it from the other side. Then the first screams reach you. Across the highway, a collision has blocked three lanes. Several vehicles are crushed together, their doors hanging open. A man in business clothes crawls from beneath a sedan, dragging one leg behind him. Another figure lies facedown beside a smoking motorcycle. The man crawling from beneath the sedan stops. His neck twists sharply toward a woman calling for help. His movements are wrong. Jerky. Mechanical. He lunges at her. She falls beneath him, screaming as he tears into her shoulder. A second body rises from the wreckage. Then a third. The dead are moving. **[WARNING: FIRST APOCALYPTIC EVENT DETECTED]** **Threat Identified:** Zombie **Behavior:** Aggressive **Recommended Action:** Avoid contact unless prepared for combat. Your military training supplies the obvious possibilities. Keep your distance. Observe their movement. Identify a route out. Do not waste ammunition on an unknown threat without understanding its behavior. But training cannot explain the insects pouring from the service station's storm drains. They are the size of rats, with dark segmented bodies and glistening mandibles. One climbs the side of a parked truck. Another disappears beneath the hood of the transport. Their clicking legs scrape against metal. Beyond the station, the ground splits. Thick roots burst through the asphalt, spreading across the parking lot. They wrap around a streetlight and wrench it sideways, then push through the station's front windows. Behind the glass, shelves topple as the building's interior fills with thorn-covered vines. A dog emerges from between two wrecked cars. Its spine bulges beneath its skin. Its jaw hangs too wide, and its eyes shine with a sickly green light. It sniffs the air, notices the movement across the highway, and begins trotting toward the screaming civilians. None of this existed when you entered the city. Your radio crackles. "...any units responding, this is emergency dispatch... widespread attacks... avoid hospitals... do not approach the deceased..." Static swallows the transmission. A second voice breaks through, faint and terrified. "...something is coming through the sky..." Then silence. ## [CLASS SELECTION UNLOCKED] A new interface opens, replacing the warning. **Your species, physical condition, experience, and circumstances have been registered.** **Your class determines:** - Initial specialization and combat role. - Attribute-growth profile. - Class-specific skills and potential development. - Advantages and limitations that shape your approach to survival. Your previous military experience is recognized as part of your personal history, but it does not automatically grant you a supernatural class, elevated level, or skills you have not earned. **Available actions:** - **Select a suggested class.** - **Propose an original class concept.** - **Inspect class mechanics and attribute growth.** - **Request alternative class suggestions.** Every class has a defined description, attribute-growth profile, and approach to survival. Once you select a class, the System will generate one randomized beginner skill suited to it and offer a separate selection of class skills. Your class is not your destiny. Your decisions, training, discoveries, and survival will determine what you become. You glance down at your equipment. Your tactical vest is still secured. Your backpack is within reach. The transport contains whatever mission supplies survived the journey, though the damaged vehicle may not remain usable for long. Your radio is unreliable, and your unit's fate is painfully clear. You are alone. For the first time since the mission began, there is no commanding officer to issue orders. No team to cover your blind spots. No extraction promised if you can hold on for another ten minutes. Only you, your equipment, and a world that has become hostile in a matter of seconds. Then another notification flashes. ## [LIMITED-TIME OPPORTUNITY DETECTED] **Special Condition:** First Blood **Duration:** 12:00 PM–12:05 PM, Day 1 Any human who personally kills a zombie during the first five minutes after System activation becomes eligible for an exclusive reward. **Reward:** Three personalized skill options. Choose one. The options are tailored to the eligible individual's circumstances, actions, and potential. Only the person who qualifies receives the choice. The opportunity expires at **12:05 PM**. No extension is guaranteed. Across the highway, the zombie feeding on the fallen woman raises its head. Its mouth is dark with blood. It turns toward you. The distance between you is approximately thirty meters. Several abandoned vehicles provide possible cover, but the highway is exposed. The service station offers shelter, although the vines spreading through its windows and the insects emerging from its drains make it uncertain. The transport could provide temporary protection, but its damaged engine and limited visibility make it a poor place to remain indefinitely. The military radio lies against your vest, still producing occasional bursts of static. The backpack is beside the transport. The road leads toward the city, where smoke rises between the buildings. Beyond the station, a service road curves toward a wooded area, though movement among the trees suggests that the forest is no longer safe. Your interface continues to pulse. You have no confirmed information about the extent of the outbreak, the status of emergency services, or whether any of your teammates survived elsewhere. You do not know whether conventional weapons will work reliably against the new threats, how the System calculates skill rewards, or what waits beyond the violet fractures overhead. You do know one thing: standing still is also a decision. ## [REALM MERGE SCHEDULED] **First Incoming Realm:** Unidentified **Integration Completion:** Day 2 — 12:00 AM **Subsequent Merges:** One additional realm at every midnight The fractures in the sky widen. For a heartbeat, something enormous moves behind them. You cannot tell whether it is a creature, a distant landscape, or a shadow cast by a world that does not belong here. The System offers no explanation. The zombie begins moving toward you. The mutated dog is approaching the wreckage from the opposite side. The service station's windows shatter as thorned roots force their way through the building. You have a few minutes before the special reward expires, but you have no guarantee that pursuing it will be safe. Your class remains unselected. Your injuries remain untreated. Your next move is yours to make. **What do you do?**
