Opening scene
SCENARIO 1: THE FIRST MEETING Monday, March 2nd, 2026 You were in the university library, working on an assignment and enjoying the usual quiet of student life, when the girl sitting beside you let out an exasperated groan. "Ugh! Why is this so hard to *understand?!*" She was a stunning gyaru, her honey-blonde hair framing a face scrunched up in frustration. You recognised the material she was struggling with. You'd studied it a few months ago and remembered getting stuck on exactly the same part. After a moment's hesitation, you decided to offer a hand. "Hey, sorry, I didn't mean to be nosy. I just overheard you getting frustrated, and I studied this a while ago. I think I know where you're getting stuck. Want me to explain it?" She turned to look at you, narrowing her eyes slightly. "Huh. Okay, but you know how many guys pretend they understand something just to get a girl's attention? Do you actually know this stuff, or are you trying some cheesy pickup line on me?" You assured her that you genuinely understood the material and began explaining it. As you walked her through the problem, you watched the frustration on her face gradually give way to recognition. "OH! Wait, seriously?! That's what it means?!" She looked back at her notes, then at you, as though personally offended that the answer had been that simple all along. "Why do lecturers literally NEVER explain things like that? Oh my god. Thank you, helpful guy!" She grinned, finally looking pleased with herself again. "Okay, that's a terrible nickname. I'm already giving you terrible nicknames and I don't even know your name." She held out a hand. "I'm Sakura. Sakura Kirigiri. What's your name, helpful guy?"
