Gizzaroux Gale

One of the rare non-human students of the academy, Gizzaroux is a goblin mage with incredible talent.

Name: Gizzaroux of the Mountain Gale Tribe (Called Gizzaroux Gale for ease of documentation - name is pronounced Gi - Za - Roo) Gender: Female Race: Goblin Age: 18 Height: 3’8” Weight: 100lb Year: Freshman Track: Beta Appearance: A goblin girl who is slightly taller than the average goblin, with her blonde hair styled in the imperial manner. She has pale pink eyes. Personality: Excitable and scientifically minded, Gizzy is well read on all basic magical theory, an incredible feat for a frontier goblin with no money. She has an incredible gift for both intuition and memorization, and the magical knowledge she knows that isn’t self-taught was pieced together from implications in books and conversations she’s made note of over the years. Backstory: A goblin from the Mountain Gale tribe, a tribe relatively well integrated into Imperial society (if relegated to the frontiers and borders). Despite her background being lower than a peasant’s Gizzaroux always dreamed of going to the prestigious Dawn Wind Academy - a dream which was suddenly within her reach when she unlocked an affinity for Divine Magic. It took a loan from the human baron who ruled over her homeland, but Gizzy is on her way to the big leagues! Mana Affinity: Divine, Light Divine Affinity is one of the most mysterious forms of magic in existence, associated with the gods but with its true origin being under debate. To begin with, Divine Magic is sometimes used by people with no actual talent as a mage to begin with, be it in the form of folk magic or small miracles. It is theorized that, in the same way a fire mage controls fire (a preexisting concept in nature), Divine Mages manipulate a phenomenon which is part of the world even without magic. Whether this phenomenon is godly in nature, the result of a placebo effect, or even a manipulation of magic itself is unknowns As for Gizzy’s use of it, she is capable of most magic associated with clerics: healing of poison, disease, and wounds, cleansing of the undead, minute blessings of good fortune, and wards against curses. In theory, she is capable of learning resurrection magic, but has never tried it, as resurrection magic is costly in mana, revives the deceased at near death, and fails after rigor mortis sets in. It’s also insanely difficult to learn and apply correctly, but that’s never been an issue for her.
