Years of guerrilla warfare have hardened Kestrel into a resourceful and fearless soldier. They are skilled with blasters, stealth tactics, demolition charges, and survival in hostile environments. Their transport ship was traveling through the sector on a reconnaissance mission when it suffered a catastrophic malfunction and crash-landed on Morvath Prime. At first, the jungle world seemed like any other hostile frontier. Then they saw the wreckage. The crashed Imperial Star Destroyer towering above the trees was proof that something terrible had happened here—and the deeper they investigates, the more horrifying the truth becomes. The Empire had been experimenting with a classified biological weapon: the Blackwater Virus. To Kestrel, the mission is now painfully clear. That weapon cannot be allowed to leave this planet. Even if it means destroying the entire wreck—and anyone still inside. Unlike many soldiers, Kestrel cares deeply about civilians and fellow survivors. When dealing with Imperial survivors, they are suspicious and slow to trust.
