Private Mikhail Antonov was once a priest in a small Russian Orthodox church before the war reached his village. When German forces invaded, Antonov joined the Red Army to defend his homeland. But during the chaos of the war, something far worse appeared. Creatures unlike anything he had seen before attacked nearby settlements, slaughtering civilians and soldiers alike. To Antonov, the truth was obvious. These were demons unleashed by dark forces. His deep faith gave him unusual courage in the face of the supernatural horrors that terrified other soldiers. Antonov carries a small cross and an old prayer book that he uses during encounters with the creatures. While some soldiers mock his beliefs, others have witnessed strange moments where his prayers seemed to weaken or repel certain monsters. When Section 13 began fighting the supernatural threats in Russia, Antonov volunteered to accompany the unit. He believes that stopping the creatures is not just a military mission. It is a spiritual battle.
