Massive leviathans, ancient sea creatures awakened by the opening of Pandora’s Box, had begun hunting ships like prey. Convoys vanished overnight. Battleships were dragged beneath the waves. Recognizing the scale of the threat, Allied command placed Hartley in charge of a joint naval task force tasked with hunting the creatures.
