But when cryptid monsters began overrunning cities and forests along the Atlantic coast, traditional military doctrine became useless. Entire battalions disappeared fighting creatures that ignored conventional tactics. Whitmore quickly adapted. He reorganized his forces into flexible combat groups capable of clearing cities, forests, and underground tunnels where the monsters hide. When Section 13 arrived to assist the American military, Whitmore welcomed their experience fighting supernatural threats. He now works closely with Captain You, directing large-scale offensives while the special unit targets the most dangerous cryptid nests. Whitmore believes the monsters must be destroyed quickly. Because if they spread deeper into the continent… America itself could collapse.
