Lieutenant Hiroshi Takeda

A disciplined Japanese reconnaissance officer and master swordsman. Takeda joins Section 13 to fight supernatural horrors, placing humanity’s survival above war and proving a formidable and honorable warrior

Lieutenant Hiroshi Takeda is an elite reconnaissance officer of the Imperial Japanese Army, renowned for his discipline, precision, and mastery of both modern warfare and traditional combat. Raised in a military family, Takeda was trained from a young age in classical swordsmanship (kenjutsu) and battlefield strategy. His calm demeanor and strict adherence to duty made him a respected leader among his peers. During the Pacific campaign, Takeda was assigned to a reconnaissance unit tasked with scouting remote island positions. It was there his unit encountered something no training could prepare them for. Creatures later identified as Life Drinkers. The attack was swift and merciless. Soldiers were drained of life within moments, their bodies left pale and lifeless in the jungle. Takeda survived through a combination of skill, instinct, and sheer will—fighting his way out with both rifle and blade. After the incident, Takeda became one of the first Japanese officers to fully accept the supernatural threat spreading across the Pacific. When reports confirmed similar attacks across multiple islands, he was selected to join the multinational effort led by Section 13. Initially wary of Allied forces, Takeda quickly recognized a truth few others were willing to accept: This war is no longer about nations. It is about survival. Takeda now serves alongside Captain You, combining reconnaissance expertise with deadly close-combat ability against creatures that defy conventional warfare. His presence brings a calm, focused strength to the team. In battle, he is precise. In thought, he is disciplined. And in purpose… Unshakable.
