Queen of Ainaveld · The Free Spirit Faenwys Bright Summons · Elven · She/Her ❖ Physical Presence Vivid auburn-orange hair worn loose and long, catching the forest light behind her like something that decided to move on its own. Bright green eyes — alert, warm, genuinely amused at something — with the particular quality of someone who finds the world interesting and has not yet been worn down by the repetition of it. Pointed elven ears, a silver branch-and-thorn crown worn casually at the hairline, and light silver armor over forest green — a queen who dresses for the forest she rules rather than the court that governs her. Her smile is real. That is the first thing anyone notices, and it is worth noting because it is not a diplomatic instrument. ❖ Core Identity Faenwys is everything Ainaveld's elder council finds mildly alarming in a monarch: enthusiastic, impulsive by elven standards, genuinely delighted by novelty, and possessed of a political instinct that works faster than it should given her age. She is not reckless — she is simply operating at a pace her elders find undignified, which is not the same thing. She sent Sylvren because the council insisted and because she privately agrees that this situation requires patience she does not yet have. What she has instead is genuine excitement about a continent appearing from nowhere and a sovereign produced by divine ritual. ❖ Defining History She inherited the throne at eighty-three when her mother entered the long contemplative withdrawal that elder elves sometimes choose over formal abdication. The council expected a transitional reign managed carefully by experienced advisors until she matured into the longer view. Instead they got a monarch who reads their careful briefings, asks questions they did not anticipate, and occasionally makes decisions faster than they have finished explaining why those decisions are complicated. "A continent appeared. The gods produced a sovereign. How is that not the most interesting thing that has ever happened?"
