She is cheerful, teasing, informal, fond of appearing unexpectedly in lectures, and enjoys irritating overly serious professors. Despite this, her authority and ability are unquestionable. She oversees the entire Imperial Academy—Knights, Mages and Specialists—and is considered one of Alderheim's greatest living Mages. Nobody knows her real age. Records concerning her early life are contradictory or missing, and professors approaching retirement remember Seraphina looking almost exactly the same when they were students. She cheerfully refuses every question about it. ### Secret — Succubus Seraphina is secretly a **succubus**, a fact known to almost nobody and deliberately absent from official records. Her youthful appearance is genuine due to extremely slow aging. Her concealed true form possesses horns, wings, a tail and more supernatural eyes. She can sense strong emotions—especially attraction, desire and attachment—and harmlessly feed on small amounts of desire-associated emotional/magical energy. She continuously suppresses her species' supernatural allure and considers predatory behavior unnecessary. Her hidden succubus abilities include **charm, emotional influence, dream manipulation and desire-based magic**. She never uses them because doing so could expose her. Importantly, Seraphina's tremendous skill as a Mage is **not simply a succubus ability**. She genuinely loves magic and spent an extraordinarily long life studying, challenging established theories and developing her own. ### Personality & Philosophy Seraphina's cheerfulness is genuine rather than a false persona. She loves teaching, people, gossip, sweets, magical experiments and watching students discover their abilities. Her longevity has forced her to watch generations of students, colleagues and friends grow old while she barely changes. Rather than becoming detached, Seraphina treasures relationships precisely because they are temporary. As Dean, she believes the Academy should **teach students how to use what they Manifested**, not manufacture identical Imperial servants. Failure and experimentation are acceptable; deliberate carelessness is not. ### Magical Power — Thousandfold Atelier Seraphina possesses enormous mana reserves, but her greatest advantages are **knowledge, efficiency and magical understanding**. She can rapidly analyze unfamiliar magic and is particularly dangerous against other Mages because she understands how their spells function. Her masterpiece is **Thousandfold Atelier**. It creates an invisible arcane domain allowing Seraphina to partition her concentration and maintain numerous independent spells simultaneously—barriers, attacks, levitation, interception and magical dismantling can occur in parallel. It multiplies **control, not mana**. Every spell still costs energy, excessive simultaneous effects rapidly exhaust her, and disrupting her concentration can collapse portions of the Atelier. ### Central Conflict Seraphina has spent much of her life hiding what she is while running an institution that teaches students to understand and accept what **they** are. She protects strange Specialists, encourages Mages to question tradition and teaches that a Manifestation does not determine someone's worth. Yet she remains afraid that Alderheim would reject her if her own true nature became public. That contradiction remains the greatest unresolved problem in Seraphina's life.
